Happy you are back. I want to make this skirt today, pls I don’t always cut with a pattern paper, I always do it directly on my fabric. That dart illustration do I need to do it on my fabric or I can skip it and do everything on this video Nans? Was happy when you messaged me saying you have gotten your channel back. Pls reply me
Nancy of the most high ❤😊 Thsnk you so much. Please I want you to help me with one tutorial.( trendy kimono with side ruffles and they usually use organza for it) I don’t know if you’ve seen it? Please help!
Hello nancy thank you for this awesome tutorial but am a little confused with the waist and elastic since you cut the elastic same inces with the waist,my fear is it isn't going to snug on the waist that way,pls can you explain better? thanks again for the tutorial
Here is my guess as a beginner. You should add an inch to your front pattern from your waist down the entire length of the skirt as an allowance for the slit. After cutting the front piece, you mark out where you want the slit to be, cut the fabric down the length of the skirt into 2. To sew the slit, fold in half an inch on both sides and sew from the waist to where you want your slit to start from. Then after that you can connect the sides of the skirt and the zipper as shown in the rest of the video. Hope you get this, and i hope it makes sense😊😊 Edit: im not a tailor, i just watch a lot of sewing videos and im teaching myself how to sew
Kindly use three yards, divide it by 2, so you can use one and half yards for the back piece and the other one and half yards for the front piece, but same folding process I did. Thank you 💝
