damn lol, im pretty sure when you enter a battle enemies start hearing god shattering star just did this map on NG+ maddening and I had to use all my divine pulses, reset, and use more divine pulses before finally winning. was painful but all the following missions have been a lot more fun, tho i'm about to do reunion at dawn which i've heard gets wack
@@mikelawliet4746 yup! the beginning was super tough. i didn't move byleth/dimitri at all, just kept them in the little alcove they start in so that each unit was only able to be attacked by 1 melee unit at a time (and because there was some grass there for extra dodge). that alcove got 100% filled up with enemies, but it worked out with dimitri's new gambit attack since i could damage so many enemies at once. i just held out there until my other units arrived for backup. had to use all my divine pulses in that opening part, but luckily once everybody was in the map and i stabilized, it was pretty straightforward so i didn't need anymore divine pulses. i almost went on to finish that route on maddening, but i got stuck on the very final map, where i couldn't establish a foothold in the throne room without suffering critical losses. it began to feel tedious and i was eager to see how the story ended so i had to lower it to hard mode. I actually just finished the DLC yesterday (hapi is my new favorite character), probably going to take another break before starting my final routes (CF/SS)
at exactly 2:00:00, i am certain i am about to win before tragedy befalls me "ain't no way i lose at this point" and then 2:00:34 happens and its all downhill
several enemies here were super annoying -nyx hitting cielo's sleep weakness and instakilling him -fire attacks oneshotting serph/sera with their weakness -nidhoggr null phys and poison rain -kali was really annoying with my setup got pretty annoyed at times and it affected how i played BUT other than that it was cool, and the chernobog fight was great, went perfectly, shredded his hp and glad i took the risk at the end
Caspar's pretty decent at late game on Maddening. The bad part is early on, where getting him to contribute without dying is like crawling on broken glass.
I like to imagine that they just threw depression Constance at Nader and she ragdoll'd across the entire battlefield before knocking him off his wyvern
