I’ve been struggling to trigger this request earlier. But this method worked perfect. I approched the camp just after 10 am and talked to Pearson. It worked first time. My cores was also perfect and I hadden’t done any of the missions in chapter 2
Keep in mind that the first person to do crime when they are supposed to be laying low in a new location is Hosea. That horse doesn't exist until they move to the Valentine camp and he just says he stole it from some dude riding. While we rode to town with the girls Hosea was out robbing a mysterious stranger.
I kept this big friend with me until Arthur's death. Named him Zeus. Fell in tears on the cutscene when he gets shot and Arthur says "thanks". Zeus, always in my heart.
I've done a whole playthrough with this horse. Wish they gave you more space to keep your horses. Like every stable let you keep different ones considering the amount of horses you can find just 5 horses seem very reductive...
So, to follow up on my other comment. I had the Kieran quest showing up and Pearson wouldn't give it to me. After watching this vid, I understood that I need to do it. I finished up on that quest and returned to camp. Went to sleep until morning and went about my usual with the horse and chores. 10am came around and I saved the game. I actually didn't need to because at around 10:20, Pearson was standing behind the table. No beer, no cutting, no whistling, all cores full. He was standing there doing nothing. I walked up and as soon as I approached his wagon, I right clicked and no antagonize available. He gave it to me, rabbit hunted and turned in. Coat immediately in my locker. Thanks Rockworth. Exactly how it goes. Kieran quest done, him behind the side table and between 10am and 12am. That's it.
I restarted the game because I was in Chapter 3 before I learned of this. Question for clarification about the Kieran quest. If it is a yellowed K marker on the map, it will not trigger? I ask because he is tied to the tree in the video, but no yellow marker in your mini-map. I thought the marker is there as long as he is tied to the tree.
Named him Talesin, in keeping with Arthur Morgan's (a name itself derived from two characters of Celtic mythology) propensity to name his horses out of Celtic legend (his old horse was named Boadicea, after all).
wow, I legit didn't know it was an unique horse, and it has the best stats on a Shire to boot. I just might keep it if I decide to replay the game again
i did sell him but it was for a good reason at least I got a very nice horse named cheesy best horse in the entire game (at the point of the game I was in) I used him for about the entire game
I finally kept this horse for me low honor playthrough. Modded in the punisher jacket and a big beard, shaved arthur bald, gave him a modern shotgun, and now Ive created s monster. I also put flaming hooves on the shire
Nice. Modding question - I heard the script extender mod was acting funky recently with some game update (it’s called something-something-hook). Did you use it with any of those mods or were you gucci?
@@SorryBones I use Scripthook RDR2 (not sure if there are any others). I use it with all these mods, and I haven't noticed any glitches. But it does feel less stable, frame stutters, and sometimes even a crash. I haven't looked into the cause of it, I do have a script that loads more npcs, and I installed it around the same time as that update, so I've been assuming it's the script causing the instability.
@@BlueOvals24 Alright cool, thanks. I was thinking of modding for the first time and saw bad talk in the scripthook discussion pages, got kind of spooked. Might give it a shot still just for some QoL changes. Enjoy punishing dudes with your SPAS-12 lol 👌
@@SorryBones Cool dude, don't forget to backup everything just in case. If you've modded GTA 5 before, this will feel very similar. You'll find that in addition to scripthook, a lot of mods require Lenny's Mod Loader. Just a simple install in your RDR2 main directory for both of those, and you'll be off to the races! Happy modding!
Best horse in the complete game together with buell imo. Kinda sucks we can’t ride it with John and basically keep it forever but it’s the perfect horse for Arthur.
Oddly, the grave is only visible during the Prologue in this mission alone. If you try to find it in between later missions of this chapter, it won't be there. Although your controller will vibrate to indicate something inspectable is nearby.
@@MegasXRL why give us a special color horse in the first mission just to buy another horse in another mission? my point is that color isn't more special then other colors most colors of horses are special cause they are the only ones in all breeds to have that coat like Dutch warmblood in valentine stable and all black American standardbred the only all black horse in game the only specialty of that horse is there's just one in game so does our first horse, that horse is the biggest horse in game that's why the stable owner gave could bought it from us with a good amount of money even though we didn't have any papers on it even Arabians without paper is worthless to sell so the horse is special so it makes sense that stable owner wanted to buy it at a higher price without papers
@@sinaradss i’m not saying anything about the price What i’m saying is: why give us a unique color of horse that we can’t tame or buy just to sell it on a mission? They should give us the option to buy that black shire on epilogue
