Thank you for this video. I was 2 sec away from putting wd40 on it. I was able to clear the issue with some thinner. You saved me making horrible mistake.
Since this Stencil has been Discontinued, I wish it was possible to find it online to download. I could run it off onto paper, Glue sheets together, use an exacto knife, and make one.
I just got my airbrush yesterday and after cleaning the nozle i got those bubbles in the cup. I was stressing out and you helped me fix it, i simply needed to tighten the head. Great diagram and advise!!
I find biggest prob with all airbrushes is the trigger ther not smooth they all stick or they will spit I’m going to try putting some cleaner on the needle and move back and fourth till cleaning really don’t think that the problem as I clean a lot but I’m gonna try that thanks for the tip
Don't mean to burst your bubble but it looks more like stones than scales. In my minds eye, I see scales overlapping each other slightly. This looks like stones set in concrete or something to me.

Thanks for the video this is EXACTLY what's going on with my second hand airbrush. I got it for free but it does need some work. I'll probably have to take it into the local hobby shop since my hands aren't very steady anymore. Such is life. You've been a big help with identifying the problem.
Very informative Vid, thanks for posting this! I to am having problems with bubbles coming up through my airbrush. I replaced the packing head Oring and nozzle and test sprayed some lacquer thinner and got tiny little bubbles just like before. However I did not notice any bubbles when I was spraying paint. Is this cause for alarm?
There was no rubber o ring just what seemed like a glue on the threads. Do I need a new nozzle or just glue tight as it was before. Sorry for broken message I was typing on an iPad.

Sorry for delay in replying.... I don't track this video any more. I suffer the same problem and it is to do with the o ring around the airvalve pin at the top of the airvalve mechanism. They changed it in 2011 for a Teflon one as the rubber ones kept distorting in shape causing the pin to get trapped. A simple solution is to unscrew the airvalve mech. a quarter turn from tight. This will take the pressure away and solve you problem.
