DONT USE THIS COMPANY. Our train was late and thier policy says they will give partial or complete refund in 5 days and I'm still waiting. And alls I get is the same excuse. I'm waiting for my manager to respond to me to see what I can do of anything.
I WEPT REAL TEARS of joy the first time I saw this video seeing people with ancestors from all of the Earth's continents waving their arms in pride after the completion of this wonderful train.......And this is especially true now that as of December of 2023 this train is becoming a total success......Ridership is going higher and higher.......My wife and I rode it just for fun back in 2018 from Miami to West Palm Beach but now our oldest daughter has come up to see us in Ocala twice by riding it all the way to Orlando.....GO BRIGHTLINE !!!!!.......CM González, Ocala, FL.....................( Thanks to all of you hard workers at Siemens, in Sacramento, CA......)
This is pretty much common sense, but this is Florida we are talking about here. They should have done elevated/underpass crossings and gated tracks to protect the Floridians from themselves. I look at Japan and they seem to have lots of elevated crossings.
Less than a week after begining service, they already had the first fatality and a delay. Not their fault but uneducated morons trying to beat a high speed train at crossings. This why Brightline will never be a reliable service, with frustrated riders who will reconsider driving or flying.

Amtrak runs a superior network in the Northeast. Brightline is powered by a massive investment/equity firm, which definitely helps hop over the barriers of cargo companies basically screwing over passenger service. It's fully possible to celebrate both Brightline & Amtrak for making gains in rail transit and a return to popularity over cars in recent years, no need to slander one over the other.
