Been riding Brightline since it opened in Miami. The demand is crazy these days. Cars are always full which is nice to see. They truly have a superior service model!

As someone who rode Brightline before and constantly praises it on my channel, I can't wait for Orlando station to open and make Brightline a true high speed intercity service. The business model of Brightline is the greatest method of combining public and private funding and should be replicated across the country in order to bring passenger rail to its full potential! Also, happy early 5th Anniversary to Brightline's first revenue run.
I'm planning to go to Universal and Disney World (staying at a Universal hotel) the week after Thanksgiving. I'm hoping I'll be able to take Brightline then! I've been taking Amtrak the past few years, but the comfort and cleanliness are just not what they should be.
Significantly better than Amtrak. Unlike Amtrak brightline is run by actual adults and is one of the best ways to travel in Florida. I won't be surprised to see brightline expand all over Florida. Great job Brightline!!!!!!!
I can't wait. I'm looking forward to this. I'm hoping to get Brightline as a 2nd job in Orlando as soon as they start posting positions for it and I can be part of a company's grand opening of a new location.
I think the location that makes the most sense for Tampa is at Tampa International Airport where it sits in the directions closest to Downtown Tampa, St. Petersburg Beach, and Clearwater Beach.
Yeah! Finally! More options for International flights and cruises.... Can take train to sail out of Port Canaveral - use the cruise line transfers from Airport....when, when, when
@@Ven100 They will, the platforms are built for up to 10 coaches per train, and sure they’ll order many more locomotives and cars, once they realize the insane demand, so they can run trains at least every 30 min, instead of hourly, but hopefully in the future, when they can afford to upgrade the line with grade seperation, electrification, and digital signalling, and order EMU trainsets, they’ll be able to up the frequency significantly, the possibilities are endless with Brightline.
I know, Brightline has said it themselves, Miami - Orlando is the most profitable market/transportation corridor in the US, but california hsr, texas central, a modernized northeast corridor, and LA to Vegas are also in the top 5.
Definite game-changer. Looking forward to the announcement that a station will be added in the space coast, as the tracks go right through this area! C'mon, Brightline, don't leave that dot off the map forever! : )
They will eventually, they just don't have the money currently to hire that many people for multiple projects, but in do time, they will, cause it's a no brainer.
@@ncard00 Yep I don't doubt that it is more of a 'when' than an 'if' though it would be good to see something said / written officially to that effect. Even if it's breezy piece of PR-speak promising the idea with no timeline... I've yet to see any such.

@@ncard00 good call. I had been checking on and off for the last 18 months. Just did a search again but only found some items from last May where Brevard county officials had extensive meetings with Brightlime Execs. And Brightline bought a bunch of land in Cocoa that opened up future station speculation. So it’s a ‘when’ as we all can see. I just am looking for a specific time frame and ideally the station location.
What's the opening date?? I will be back home in Orlando in May and would like to do a day trip to Miami with family. This is definitely a game changer with beach access for Orlando natives not needing to drive to the coast now. They can just take a day trip or spend the night/weekend in WPB, Ft Lauderdale, or Miami soon.
Any information about monthly pass for the route Orlando - Miami- Orlando? I don't mind to live in orlando and work in Miami every day, 6 hours could be more productivity.
Back in October of 2022 I read an article with one of the Brightline Execs saying they were hoping to possibly have the line open for holiday travelers (2022) so I have a hard time seeing it not shuttling passengers before October. I can imagine that they don’t want to miss the Spring and Summer time travelers and wouldn’t be one bit surprised to see the first trains running by April or May. Just my opinion though. I’m
I would love for Brightline to extend through Jacksonville, FL and Savannah, GA the amount of travelers that would add to Brightline would be a game changer!
They will, eventually, they’re starting with the most profitable, untapped routes first, then Amtrak’s most profitable routes, and then routes like the ones you mention :)
Sure Brightline will build a lot of stations, even many small ones like Aventura and Boca Raton, eventually, when they can afford to hire more workers simultaniously, working on many different projects.
2028, negotiations still ongoing, and Brightline West, LA to Vegas, will be constructed first, beginning right after Orlando opens, or Brightline West will at least have priority over the rest of Florida, but sure both will be constructed at the same time.

@@brakemanben6772 Yeah, not the first choice for Brightline, but you never know. Orlando is this year, 2023, Tampa, probably 2028, cause Brightline West, LA to Vegas, needs to open first.
Tallahassee is a smaller city & it is way too far away from the current line that would cost a lot of money to build and profits wouldn't even be that much I could definitely see them losing a whole lot of money going to Tallahassee it's basically best if they stick to the bigger cities Miami-Orlando-Tampa
Great news but they should really integrate with Amtrak's existing stations. For those of use who need to travel to northern or central Florida it still requires taking a bus from MCO to Orlando Station.
They will, eventually, but they're starting with the most profitable, untapped, markets, and then after that, they'll start competing and working with Amtrak on their routes.
Why did they not include Jacksonville. We need this up here to take us to South Florida. I absolutely hate that 5sh hour drive. Now I still will need to drive 2 hour to save 3 hours 😩😵
The only thing potentially stopping me from using it as a commute is the pedestrian and train crossings, but if that can be minimized, I will use this for life.

Yes, but the trip in train will take 3 hours to get from MCO to MIA. Plus the time to drive to the Airport, pay for your car to be parked or to get there, pay the train ticket, pay for transportation at MIA.. when putting all that extra time and money, driving still more convenient for many.
not really. Brightline has bus/car connection from the Miami station to the airport. Car pick up from your home to the train station also available. Tickets and parking are bought online through the app so no waiting to buy tickets or pay for parking. Their parking is less than minute walk to the station. Traveled from WpB to Miami and the system was quite seamless- plus zero delays from, traffic. They've thought about all of that
Many older people cannot or don’t want to drive on the toll road because of medical problems or taking medicine or not having good peripheral vision. So the train is a good choice for some people plus it also gets off people who shouldn’t be driving on the road and maybe people who want to drink but they’re should notdrive it’s a long too stressful drive for me. I’m looking forward to taking the train
I'd rather drive to OIA and hop a two hour train ride to WPB City Center, shop, have lunch with Mom, then ride back home (sleeping), then short drive back to the house.🙂 I'm ready to say 'adios' to the turnpike traffic, speed demons and tolls 😐.
Eventually, a Cocoa station is being planned, but will not be ready to open as part of the Orlando extension this year. And Melbourne makes a lot of sense too, especially connecting to the airport.

In order for this to be successful, prices MUST be accessible. Please keep prices no more than $40 per ride like the rest of the developed world's trains.
