The most beautiful Port Ludlow videos in the world!
Bryan Diehl arrived in Port Ludlow in 1994 from the mean streets of Edmonds, Washington. (Actually, in the ‘70s and "80s Edmonds was a lot like Port Ludlow is today…and there’s still no mean streets there.) He married Piper and raised his daughter and son right here in Port Ludlow.
Bryan sells real estate on the North Olympic Peninsula and that, combined with his appreciation for the natural beauty of this area, inspired him to share his photos and videos with the world. Known far and wide as a Premier Port Ludlow Broker.

That’s one of the beautiful features of the Pacific Northwest, even when it’s cold outside it’s still beautiful. (The absence of leaves on the deciduous trees is the tell.)
I recently bought a used SE Controller ($400) on ebay so with the added battery and a dedicated charging controller I now have a dependable set-up (after 2 frustrating years and I'm still waiting for Autel Customer Service to return my calls)...so yes, I am flying my EVO II V3, and with a greater level of confidence. The camera is superior to that of my Mavics and Phantom 4 Pro and it's not geofenced. I have recently captured some amazing photos of Puget Sound shorelines, the color and clarity of the water this summer is magnificent. I'll upload a video soon.

Thanks PlanetOwner. I’m fluid on the street but the trails are a challenge. Sometimes it’s really worth the effort to go places you wouldn’t normally reach!
@@captnbry I still have no stamina in my feet or legs for long rides but I learned on bumpy terrain both grass and not very smooth streets so when I do get to be on flat smooth pavement it is where that Float feeling really kicks in! Getting to see new trails on it is just as satisfying but just takes more out of me and like you said the effort is worth it for sure.
I guess it would depend on the definition of "hobbyist." They're not inexpensive and the service after the sale is non-existent... When the EVO ll V3 is working correctly it's a beast with an amazing camera, but when it's not... Unfortunately the choices are limited (mostly due to politics) so the consumer is relegated to dealing with the problems and solving them themself. You can call support but they do not answer and when you email or leave voicemail you will likely get the answer to an unrelated question.

Bryan, my V1 crashed during a real estate shoot. Autel CS was good, just wrecked beyond repair and out of warranty. Grabbed a V2 for $1324 so now have 5 batteries. Anyway...your SOOC video on your V3 is absolutely gorgeous! I've been shooting in Log and doing a lot of color grading in post. Did you adjust any if your V3 advanced camera settings to get such nice color pop? Definitely like the contrast too. Not overly contrasty like DJI's defaults. Thx!
On video I rarely change the camera settings from the default. Exceptions are in low light or bright sunlight… even then I just adjust the f-stop a few clicks one way or the other. The color palette is magnificent in auto. I also take most of my stills while running the video and I pull stills from the video afterwards as well. I do process my stills in LR but it usually doesn’t need much correction or enhancement. My DJI mini and AVADA definitely need color correction most every flight.
Another coastal "arts community" that floats on welfare, trust funds, and public agency employment. If you like ever-so-funky stuffed sidewalk manikins in rocking chairs playing a violin you will love this place. It was an old logging, fishing, and mill town the Californians turned into a theme park where all the residents are now just too damn "interesting and intelligent."
It’s hard to say, I think they’d still cast a reflection. I’m sure that a good engineer somewhere could solve the problem but until then we just have to be mindful of our camera angles.
@@captnbry another possibility is put a little visor on top of the gimbal. It's definitely a major problem when you fly late it the day, because I consider any video with the propeller reflections pretty worthless.
I agree. What my solution has been is to alter the angle of the shot or lower the gimbal angle. I’ve had other drones that were worse for prop reflection and even the props themselves getting in the field of vision.
I love it there. A buddy and I went up one morning, hiked all over and then went to Oak Harbor for brunch. Then we went and visited the local beaches. Wonderful day trip!

You’ve got quite an impressive collection of photographs Bryan! I saw some places I’ve filmed in the past. Also saw Nasty Jacks antiques is still in business! My Mom was there about 30 years ago!
