I think for me, team "wins" is always going to do a disservice to Gerrard. You just can't discount how amazing those United teams were. I give Lampard credit for his goal scoring ability, it is what it is. Scholes' passing was second to none and I'd say Gerrard was riiiiigghhht behind him. The man could also pass to anywhere on the field. If I'm going to truly look at, I want to know what other players say. Like basketball, stats only get you so far. Systems that you play in, coaches, teammates, etc., all play huge roles in determining what a player's final stats end up at. When I see interviews with other players, including Paul Scholes by the way, most (not all) rate Gerrard as the best. Sometimes, it IS that killer instinct, that pure will, that sets someone just slightly higher. So for me, Gerrard is the best. I think when debating Lampard and Scholes, it comes down what team you're going to have. I'll leave second place to others to debate.
Florentino is simply the biggest shark in a tank full of sharks. He knows football and business. I don't know if you know the owners of other big teams in Europe and their presidents, but none of them are usually legitimate and blameless people.
I love the suspicious cat in the reactions of the video haha Watching this from Toronto thinking, hmmm would be great that Florentino bought a Toronto FC player or sold one to TFC and got a contract to build houses in this city, it needs it haha
I’m a Liverpool fan but a football fan first. As much as it hurts me to say, I couldn’t agree more. He was an amazing footballer and deserves a ballon d’or. One of the most underrated footballers ever.
This is ridiculous. A bunch of nonsense dictated from Barcelona. By the way, that Francoist billionaire March, along with Cambó and other Catalan industrialists who financed Franco's army during the Spanish Civil War, were well known as Barcelonists, so the dictator favored Barça to return the favors. During the first 15 years of his dictatorship, Barcelona won 5 (their first 5) LaLiga titles, and Atlético (the Army's team) won another 4 (their first 4). Real Madrid, the most important team during the Second Republic, whose last president, Ortega, was executed by Franco in 1939 and half of their squad imprisoned, couldn't win another LaLiga title until 1954. So stop with the conspiracy theories made up in Barcelona.
Vicente Boluda also accomplish the requirements to run for president but he is a friend of Florentino so he will not. A young fellah called Enrique Riquelme will become the next president when Florentino sadly passes away, he has renewal energy companies and matches the 20 years criteria.
Leaders are supposed to make decisions without passion and know how to navigate the real world making decisions that might look wrong in tik tok , let me tell you no tik toker has ever done more for humanity than Florentino Perez and Real Madrid. Madrid is know around the world by the Real Madrid how many people in Madrid have an income on that? Also in order to be a football leader you need to be a fan , it’s hard to manage the fan part and the executive part.
I laughed so hard when you said that Real is a non profit organization😂 maybe on paper they are, but the reason Perez stays so wealthy is because Real makes everyone but the fans money
Am I the only one who doesn’t find any of this impressive. The team on the pitch is only as good as it is because of business and marketing. I don’t see how that’s any different to clubs like Man City How are clubs suppose to ever compete on financial level with teams like Real Madrid and Man Utd with pulling a man city or Chelsea move
When you realize that Real built their training facilities for only 100M€ back then in 2005 and bought a player(Gareth Bale) for the same amount in 2013…depreciation hit hard guys invest your money…!
