Hey guys, James here! I love fishing and I post all of my outdoor experiences on this channel. If you like fishing as well, sit back, relax, and enjoy some good fishing videos!
Better way to get your crappie meat snow white with no blood in your fillets, Clip their gills while they are in the livewell or on the stringer and they will bleed out, Fillet a crappie that you've bled and one you haven't and check out the difference, you'll thank me later
I tried setting up a tank last night for two (2) blue gill for my son. I was not successful in doing so as they didnt make it through the night. Is it even possible to use tap water and additives to control the chlorine and heavy metals, etc.?
I make a similar pattern but with a red collar. I call it the mayweather jig- black and flashy and can’t be beat! I’ll usually add purple flash to it- they’re great in the fall
To prevent you from losing the bottle. Simply tie a string around the neck of the bottle. Feel tight. Give yourself a little bit of line. And tie the line off your Y-stick. Then when the bottle comes off. It'll just fall down and you can take it right back up by the string & reuse
We cut the gill plates on our Walleye before throwing them in the livewell. The fish will slowly pump all of the blood out resulting in clean blood free fillets.
Friend told me I should switch to the loop knot for crappie jigging. Came here this morning, learned the knot. Tied on a pink jighead with Bobby Garland Stroll'r Red Thunder. Hopped in the truck and took the kayak to the lake to crappie fish. Hooked a 16lb. flathead by a stump. Fought it for twenty minutes and landed it using 4lb test mono. I'm a believer.
just a thought on making the loop smaller. On the third pass back through the loop, hook the loop onto the eye of the jig. hold the jig body. then pull it down to tighten. Right before you cinch it, slip the eye out of the loop and cinch. The resulting loop is way smaller, closer to the eye.
Monday I never heard of this knot today I tied 20 of them and got a few more bites than I am used to tons of fish but no action just the lightest of nibbles
The joker is a staple for me and always gets bit for me... what's great about the joker is the modification's you are about to do like cutting two of the tails off and it becomes a shad profile or can just fish it with two tails
Nice video and channel. I just subscribed. Spring is almost here and I have the fishing bug. Crappie should be biting soon, I'm in Missouri. I'm going to tie some of the jigs in your videos. Thanks, take care!
Very informative video but it is cheaper to buy the rod N BOB'S BOBBER that comes with 2 glow sticks The weighted bobbers are 1.97 something, and the glow sticks are 3.52 The rod n Bob's Bobber with glow sticks is $4, so it's cheaper to buy the rod n Bob's bobber. And then when you need glow, sticks buy the rod n Bob sticks very good video 👍👍
If you drop that bobber on accident and it hits something hard. It breaks instantly if you cast it and it hits something hard. It breaks instantly those bobbers are horrible. They're not worth the money.
What kind of eyes doe you use for that jig? I really enjoy watching all your videos keep up the good work. Do you know where I can source some reptile, snake or cat eyes?
I could use some help. What type, brand or size flash do you use? I would guess you use different flash for different lures. I started making crappie jigs and the flash I am currently using stretches a lot and when it gets stretched it seem to curl up. Thanks for your advice!
