Thank you Mark for this thorough review. I watched this after making the purchase (backwards i know lol) but this video confirmed for me that I made the right purchase. 👍
Thank you. Just bought my 2nd monitor and was checking how to set it up. One question, I only want to use my 2 monitors and turn off the display for my laptop. How can I do that?
I used Luna Display to connect my Mac Mini M2 Pro and MacBook Air M2 for 7 months, but I ended up switching to Apple Screen Mirroring in OSX 14.5. Here are the reasons why: 1. When the computer wakes up from sleep, the Luna Display app can't wake the connected display, requiring me to manually quit the apps on both computers and restart them every time. 2. When connecting to a VPN, it automatically disconnects. 3. Things got worse after 6 months; sometimes, even restarting and reinstalling the Luna Display app didn't work. Eventually, it completely stopped working. I unplugged the USB dongle and threw it away.
This was an excellent demonstration. You are very good. Unfortunately, I bought an adapter which is not what I need. I want to hook up my dvd player and my tv with one product. So, one tv, one dvd player two cables and one way to switch views. What should I buy? Thanks.
Thanks for the review, I liked how you covered all the key features in a clear conversational way. I have bought one to complement or move over from my current Surface 7 which has served me very well over the past 4 years, and I'm looking forward to the little boosts I will get from the 7+
Awesome thanks for sharing your config. Would you be able to use it as computer screen with steam deck as Linux mode? Is resolution high enough enough to support small text?
I got this device but haven’t really used it out of frustration thinking I could work on one screen while the other one is open. Your explanation is much clearer than most i have seen. I have all those apple devices, ipad, air, iMac and Mac Mini. It sounds like I could have both Luna Display and Secondary on all the devices and bounce between all these device combination. Thank you!
Why all these additional steps for no reason? *(& not to through shade for no reason when you're just trying to help the community out)*… but to call any pc with 8 gb of what? DDR3 RAM & 256 Gig storage, *”pretty nice”* that's budget entry-level specs & is literally the reason why we have kids convincing parents to get them a pc for gaming, then getting mad at game devs because they purchase basically any game from steam at those.specs & will barley get it to run ar a steady 10 FPS. Not not to emrjokns adding additional monitors this way, its *directly* eating u resources you *DON’T HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE!?* the absolute *Minimum* you can get away with and prob push COD to its limits is 64 gig DDR5 RAM & you need at least 2 TB of storage. DEFINITELY not an HHD, you'll get away with an SSD, but most preferably you want an M.2 PCIe NVME SSD (they kinda even look like a RAM stick but longer & WAY faster than an HHD/SSD. Anyway, yeah your laptop might only have 1 HDMI… but you know what doesn't? *THE MONITORS!!!* Daiseychain them together, save yourself from using up the very very small memory you have. I have 2024 ASUS TUF with 64 Gig DDR6 Ram and 3 TB of storage which I use about 500 gigs as vRAM. Plus a i9 13th gen, 24 cores, Nvidia 4090 and I still have very small issues but still issues trying to pump cyberpunk at max. I'll sell anyone who needs a decent gaming laptop (giot 6) all i7s, 3060s with 32-64 ram & 1 - 2 tb storage. depending on which model you want. I got MSI and ASUS
You should have removed the microphone from your shirt and keep near the speaker while you were testing. We can identify from which microphone your voice is coming.
