Yes, it is a glorified price and maybe not worth every coin put into it, but Apple is not targeting the masses yet. It's similar to when Tesla first came on the scene. They sold a premium car first( Tesla Model S) then pushed it to the masses years later ( Tesla Model 3). Apple needs to gain user experience/likability and unfortunately the first buyers will be the guinea pigs.
My question to you is how many do you think they need to sell to make money?” Around a million or so, they can do that easy. You don’t think they will make any changes between now and next year to improve upon this product? Yes they will! Will app makers come up with at least a few good apps before they release it? Yes they will! Apple has over 2 billion customers, how many of them do you think have a APPLE CARD? I’ll be conservative just to make my point, Iets say around 2 million. Now out of that 2 million how many do you think will use their APPLE CARD and make payments? Remember these are conservative numbers! I’d say around 500,000 will opt for payments an make the purchase. Now how many people will just by it out right out of that other 1 billion around the world? I know what your thinking” your thinking since it will only be for sale in the United States English speaking European countries won’t come for one right? WRONG! (Britain) Remember it’s a computer not a phone! It can run anywhere that has Wi-Fi. So Let’s call that at least another 500,000 (mostly American, some British) now guess what just happened? Apple sold 1 million units WHILE YOU WERE ASLEEP! 😂 Now people are upset because they have to wait until the FALL of 2024 to get their unit! 😂 this is a new Apple product and a lot of people WILL WAN’T TO BE FIRST! Remember, based on Apple’s customer base these are extremely conservative numbers! When this headset drops people will crowed into Apple stores trying to experience these new headsets! There will be a waiting list! 😂
Apple will definitely make money off this headset. I don't how much it cost to make this headset, but I'm sure there is a nice profit margin per device. I'm also anticipating Apple will make minor changes upon release, but nothing major. This is a Pro device and the first of its kind, so sales will be made around the world. And yes you are right, a lot of people will want to be the first to own this gadget, making the demand for it absurd. There will be waiting lines and many people won't receive their device until late 2024 or early 2025. We are in exciting times though.
