We're Mark and Mel and after working hard and raising great children, we're now living out our goal adventure of boating on America's Great Loop. America's Great Loop is a continuous waterway that includes rivers and canals, connected by locks, approximately 6,000 miles from the Great Lakes and Canadian waterways, down the inland rivers of America's heartland, to the Gulf of Mexico, and back up the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterways to wherever you began. Follow us to find out what to do, and what not do, while navigating through waterways, towns and cities along the way in the eastern USA and Canada.
What an interesting tour guide. Gonna have to go back to the beginning to catch his name. Went there when I was 3 or 4. Only thing I cared about (or really remember) was running around the fort walls and the weird stuff at Ripley's Believe it or Not.
Our tour guide, who is friends with our friend in St Augustine, was SO Knowledgeable!! Thr segment in this video is about 1/10 of the tour information he provided! We will link his info in comments for everyone 👍
So , did Mark get compensated for escorting / traffic control during the parade? I Love the history lessons on each & every one of your videos almost as much as I’m sure that you do ! Great job editing ! Florida should consider appointing Paradises crew as ambassador of good tourism ! Nice little hook at the beginning for your subscribers to continue watching !
Haha Mark didn't get compensated for that little stunt during the Easter Paradse...go figure😅 Thanks for the encouraging comments! We love highlighting the history of areas and city sights 👍 The thing Mark received is the bluetti 200L for the boat, which we share next video 👍 😊
Not sure why we didn’t go to St. Augustine a few years ago when we on a road trip and stayed at Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach …looks like we missed a fascinating place (and some great food!)
BTW, nice work backing out of that marina through the narrow fairway - even though we didn’t get to see you actually DO it, you obviously made it without crushing any fiberglass (yours or anyone else’s). Bravo!
The fresh bread and homemade Sangria at that restaurant are almost enough to make me want to get in a car and drive all the way to St. Augustine! Yum. 😂
Thanks for the info on fuel, rpm, and the like. As to the sound, the new mics see😊m to work OK, yet in the editing, you forget to make sure the sound is on both channels (both right and left) so I hear on one side and, for me, makes it not so good sound. 🤔🫢✌🏻
Shawn Rhymes here. Are you still in St. Augustine Florida? I live about an hour away from there. Northwest of there in Middleburg. I've enjoyed this video and I've to St. Augustine many of. Mostly to pick up cars. Thanks for posting this video.
Your “heavy rain” protocol is a riot - specific buckets in specific places = a great low-tech solution! 😂 And the couch fix was great …isn’t it amazing what creative things we have to come up with on boats to solve problems?
BP hands are tied . They are required to catch & release if the aliens fit a certain legal profile . All an alien has to do is claim that he has a job already & they must be released with a court date 6. O this later . They don’t have to furnish proof of employment, proof of persecution etc . The system is rigged to aid democrats political benefit . I was army stationed in Laredo Tx , attached to the Patrol & saw how frustrated the ‘Patrol was trying to do their job . I saw kids being sold to some adult they’d never met . 1/2 the time the adult was a convicted sex offender.I once saw the same girl claim that 4 different men was her father . Each had a different last name than the 8 year old girl & each had been convicted in USA for sex crimes . The system is so broken that the agents could do nothing but turn her over to the Mexican authorities. Damn Trump for not being allowed to finish building the wall . Trump for president !
That is just so very horrible and sad! We do hope that something is done very soon to stop this terrible situation! Thank you so much for everything you all try and do to help❤️🙏🇺🇸
Shawn Rhymes here. That must have been a great milestone, and what a great thing to celebrate for Thanksgiving. I enjoyed this video and thank you for posting it. On to episode 32.
It did feel like a great milestone! I had no clue how many more milestones were to come on the loop lol! Thanks so much for watching and commenting Shawn!😎
I can’t believe how rough it was at your mooring! Ugh. Were you worried about the mooring breaking loose, or isn’t that a concern as it is with an anchor? In any case, sleeping can’t have been very easy. 😬😳🥱
I hear it has to be even more rough than that to break a mooring or the mooring is in really poor shape to begin with. I did have one of the roughest nights sleep on the loop, at that mooring lol.
Shawn Rhymes here. What, no barber chair today? LOL Again I enjoyed the video the scenery was nice and the music went well with the video. Is that "to be continued" for next season LOL I'll have to get LinkedIn to that. Thanks for posting this video.
👍Special Tip: Make sure you don't miss the Historical Museum (it was no charge to us, we just donated) in downtown Titusville! There are all kinds of historic items from the area, including prehistoric info, local native, local astronaut high school info and albums and info on the local settlement and expansion of this area. Here's their website when planning your visit. 👍northbrevardhistoricalmuseum.org/ru-vid.comgaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f44d.png
Shawn Rhymes here, and yes, I enjoyed this video. The scenery was nice. Especially the barber chair. Anybody need a haircut? My apologies. I thought I subscribed to your channel some time ago, but when I checked, I saw that I didn't, so I did you yesterday. I've had a lot on my mind. Thanks for posting this video.
Shawn Rhymes here, and I'm still enjoying your RU-vid videos. I liked your gator story. I've seen 1 not long before COVID. We're in September now. The years seem to go by quicker as we age. I've been watching your RU-vid videos for a while now, and there's a You Tube video I'd like you to watch and share with your family and friends. Your grandchildren will love what I did with the old Christmas classic T'was The Night Before Christmas. I adapted for the 21st century. I've titled it: The Night Before Christmas 21st C by Shawn Rhymes. One of the things I did was replace the pipe with milk and cookies. Thanks for watching it and sharing it. I'm looking forward to hearing about your thoughts on it. Thanks for posting this video on RU-vid, I'm looking forward to watching episode 29.
We watched a Space Shuttle launch from Hwy 1 just outside the entrance to Kennedy Space Center years ago. Don't know how far it was to the pad, but the ground really shook during the launch
How cool to be able to catch the launch! What a great experience. Your camera kept catching signage reading “Cocoa Beach,” and every time I saw those words I can’t help but be hoping to see Major Nelson and Jeannie. 😂😂😂
I know you guys aren't in Florida any more but next time, if you shop at a Publix, their deli counter makes the best sub sandwiches you've ever had. The subs are famous all over the south. We buy groceries for the boat and a couple of sandwiches to take back for dinner. It beats boat cooking.
A line from the starboard rear to a cleat about 10 ft or more aft of Paradise instead of the line coming thru at the aft of Paradise will help cut down on sloppiness.
Right? We felt like it was our own private show! Check out the latest video we dropped about Titusville! The dolphins were at the marina every day ( a mom and baby) and would swim fast along the wall as we walked there, looking up at us the whole time! So cool!
Shawn Rhymes here, and again I enjoyed the video. I came up with a cute lady bug joke over a year ago. Do you know what you call a male lady bug? Answer: transgender. I get a lot of laughs out of that joke, as well as the jokes that I have come up with. Let me know if you like my joke, and thank you for posting this video.
Just saw your video tonight for the first time, I live in Melbourne and hit most of those eateries in the village, there is all kind of activities there and that old theater is great.
That's awesome! There were so many more we wanted to try but only got to about 4 eateries in 2 days lol! Next time we will stay longer for sure, even if we anchor out also!
