My ordeal had my wife of 27 years sweetalked by a destitute Metro Taxi driver. He was her doc appointment transport too & from. He stopped bringing her home, keeping her in the front seat as a passenger (uninsured this way). He saw her as a good candidate to live off of if he helped her, two against just me.. I had to file because he is Hiv positive, it was my attempt to get her away, send the message. Nothing worked, shes heavily medicated & he also was getting access to those. "He has a bad back" was her reason for giving them to him. He was her False Accuse witness. She was Awarded most of my lifes work, Entitlements was the reason for this. Shes now ove 10 years of Wont Pay ordered kid support. I have a police report of them xaught naked in that car,von it it spells out his disease & her vulnerability.
Nope. Not in McHenry County (Illinois). Walked into an ER, gave a false name (not proud - addiction issue 2015). It was charged as a FORGERY felony. Yes. I am a professional (PhD) with NO background, and in spite of our attempts - the prosecution (and judge) insisted that I was such a threat to society, that I must accept a felony conviction. My entire life took a big hit. Fortunately, my career and my ability to take care of my family, wasn’t destroyed because of my professional history and ally’s (pharmaceutical medical writer). But, I couldn’t help but feel for people with rough lives and no education as a felony all but destroy’s their chances of ‘legally’ taking care of their own family’s. We are product’s of our own decisions, no doubt. But a felony makes your bad decision last a lifetime. And that’s ridiculous. Something that I never thought about until 2015. That horrible time has passed and I’ve moved on. But, when I saw this pop-up on RU-vid, I couldn’t leave without a comment. I’m sure you are an excellent attorney. But, during a time when America watched one violent criminal after another get their charges dropped or downgraded, because of the usual ‘marginalized’ BS excuse - McHenry County needed my case to stick. No mercy for the near-victimless crime. The ‘wiggle room’ we all see everyday, like a rapper (already a felon), somehow getting his gun charge dropped - even though it was in his pocket, makes most working people sick. I will never look at the ‘justice system’ the same again. (Fun fact - the prosecutor’s daughter goes to school with my daughter. That was an interesting non-conversation. And a master-class in personal restraint.) What a world.
so im 17 with no prior record and been charged with credit card fraud i also didnt use any money from the cards and i didnt know the cards were stolen is there any hope for me? i have a felony on my record so its hard getting jobs i may need a little advice.
If you've never committed a crime, and you didn't commit the one you're charged with because of a false allegation, don't listen to this guy. You are innocent until proven guilty. Why the Fk would you plea guilty to something you didn't do when you're innocent? A good attorney would fight for your innocence. The prosecuting attorney needs to convince ALL 12 jurors to believe you're guilty. Your attorney only needs one juror to believe you're innocent. The problem with our system is too many people taking the advice of guys like this. You go to him, pay him and he tries to convince you to take a plea because it's easy pickens for him. Cha-ching. The prosecutor has to do NOTHING. So many innocent people, especially men, give up their right to a trial that it teaches the prosecutor nothing so they dole out Sentence in Suspensions or misdemeanors like candy because you take it. Make these mother F'rs work. If they actually had to do their job, they would be less likely to charge you with a felony in the first place. It costs time and money if they were to actually do their job.
I wish I'd have known about you a couple weeks ago. I just lost a case v my own mother. . . I did not expect it to extend a year and hold up because of how silly it was, but I got railroaded by my older, mentally ill brother and elderly mom. No more CCW and it's on my record. I'll probably end up contacting sometime before the expiration hearing, or even sooner.
A preponderance of evidence… That is the biggest load of crap I’ve ever heard in my life. They do not have to prove anything at all whatsoever. All they have to do is make up something anything they want. I was arrested denied the test they never took nothing from me. I kept my license as well not sure what to do my court comes Tuesday. I have a lawyer and took am online class. They have no evidence of me drunk besides probably my behavior.

This is the first DUI lawyer I've ever heard who didn't stress the importance of ALWAYS refusing Field Sobriety Tests. He makes it sound like he WANTS you to do the FST'S. No buéno.
I just had a situation which a very crazy woman who lives six houses down was driving by and taking pictures of our house. She was also stalking my subtenant here. We went to the magistrates office and filed an emergency protective order, only to find out she had one against me. I was pretty shocked. But my EPO and my subtenants did get granted, and also a warrant was issued for her arrest for stalking. She has absconded and went to another state to hide out at her ex husband's house. Meanwhile, my subtenant and I went before a judge and told what happened and we got a preliminary protective order against her for fourteen days. The hearing for the Permanent Protective Order is in a week and the judge is very familiar with this person because many of my neighbors have also filed cases against her. Last weekend I spotted her and called the cops, so they could come and serve her the stalking warrant and the PPO, but she had someone pick her up and not sure where they went, but obviously she knew that she was wanted. Police did serve me with the EPO but by the time they did the 72 hours had expired, and she didn't try to get a PPO on us because if she went to the courthouse she would be arrested on the warrant. What happens if they can't locate her by the time we have our hearing next Thursday here in Virginia?
I served a order of protection against a covert narcissist who's been harassing me and terrorizing me online Im praying to god the judge will favor me and they will undo the damages done to my reputation and career. This person has said posted my address online and terrorized me because they got jealous over an anime character I created. So they went on th it was to destroy me when I did nothing wrong.

What isn’t mentioned here is that in federal court, any conviction you have regardless of if you served time on that conviction or not , and worse regardless of that conviction is a misdemeanor in the state you’re convicted if that conviction carries a sentence that exceeds 1 year and 1 day in federal court you are considered a felon. regardless of the state’s classification of the offense. So let’s say 14 years ago you were convicted of shoplifting or trespassing or a DUI and you received 18 months probation, then tomorrow you’re arrested for gun possession, The ATF , could very well file a complaint charging you with 1 count of 922g.1 -Felon in possession of a firearm and this will be the result of the 14 year old prior convictions that were considered misdemeanors in your state.

Always record the police keep a dash cam that record your speed as well and the street if receiving a ticket if you do not sign it then sign it under the threat of the arrest and then sue them for first amendment violation against your religious beliefs that make it a sin for you to sign and make a promise
If you use lethal force at all in any situation you bound to atleast serve until your first hearing. Because you best believe me ive seen it all regardless the witnesses or situations you were the user of lethal force so they have to obtain you. Regardless if you like to hear it your guilty until proven innocent.

So in Tennessee, considering moving to Nashville, if someone breaks into my home I do not need to retreat, and I can consider the invasion a reasonable fear of death and can respond with deadly force. If entering. However, in the few seconds of action firing upon the first intruder and chambering and firing on the second intruder who might be exiting, but not in retreat but for cover is it not reasonable for the defender to continue firing until the threat is either eliminated or completely retreated?
