If the battery is old, lead sulfate occurs, making it difficult to remove the negative terminal. In that case, if you mix water with baking soda and apply it to the negative terminal, it can be removed without difficulty.
Yes, it's okay. "-"It's right to take out the terminal first, but it's difficult because of the structure. "+" You can wrap it with a fabric or something so that the terminal is not cut short.
I had this replaced under warranty a while ago because of the same issue. The window was also replaced because the unit can't be repaired without removing it. Given how many owners have had this problem I believe it's design issue with the part.
@@laupakhin That's right. This part also happens frequently in Korea to the point where it needs to be recalled. If you replace it with an assembly that includes a rail, the roof glass needs to be removed, which costs a lot of money. That's why service centers only replace the wires.
@@gups1974 I changed it myself, no need to remove window. The difficult part is the removal and placing again of trim parts on a/b/c colons of the car, especially the rear ones.
@@laupakhin just search for the term "C4 picasso tavan sanruf ve perde tamiri", a video with a 14:11 length. It is a Turkish video showing the repair but you can see that the roof window doesn't need to be removed. The people in this video repaired it with very poor workmanship. If a little time and attention is spent, it will be a very clean workmanship.
I think the reason for using plastic is probably because the entire rail is damaged if it is made of metal. All of the roof blinds of other companies are also plastic. But I don't think it's too easy to break.
@@gups1974 of course you should be careful about the size of the item, cad drawing is very important. I made it cut with laser. I already used it 2 years without problem. There shouldn't be any contact to roof rails, or any voice while it is working.

After having Carplay for about a month, what are your impressions? Does it work flawlessly or does it have bugs/issues? I've read that you have to select the AUX audio source before to get the Carplay audio working. Can the physical AUX input be used when not in Carplay mode?

@@NG__________ You don't have to remove the bumper. If you look at the passenger side of the bumper, you can remove the palm-sized cover to replace the horn.
@@gups1974 Hello, yes indeed! FYI, my horn made a very awful noise (you may find some example through RU-vid with the same horn). I just sprayed WD40 and it fixed this ugly noise 😁🤣
On my 2011 Citroen C4 1.6 HDi I had to use Diagbox to program how many liters of DPF fluid I added since the DPF fluid tank has no gauge in it. I'm not sure if this applies to the Grand C4 Picasso as well.
@@gups1974 I added 1 liter of DPF additive in the tank and then used Diagbox to tell the ECU that I'd added 1000mL of fluid. Before I added the fluid, it reported that the amount of fluid left in the tank was only 8mL. The car does not have Ad-blue, only DPF fluid. There are several videos on youtube that shows you how to use Diagbox to program in the new DPF fluid amount
@@hansibull Grand Picasso mk2 has a DPF fuel additive tank capacity of 1.5 liters. I think it holds about 1.3 liters. I checked without entering a separate capacity with the diagnostic tool and only confirmed that the warning light disappeared.
This is good information. Most of perople does not know Citroen C4 still using aditive. I also didn't know and several monthes struggled. finally I did same as your procedure and solved problem. so I think this information is good for Citroen C4 owner :)

Hi, Could you tell me what kind of speaker (accurate model) did you install? There are not so many places to install speaker. I traied Hertz mielle but it is to deep (64mm) and blocking by some prastic element of window slider. I see that you install some kind of speaker but I can't recognize it by brand.
@@marcelgf I don't know where I purchased it because I received it while working on the speakers. And it seems to suppress vibration rather than block noise.
@@paulpaul0422 2.0 The air box is in the front, and I have removed it. It is not difficult. If you look closely, it is easy to remove. I will take a video and upload it next time.
So behind the fancy flatscreen display - the actual "car stereo" is still a box that follows the DIN standard size, like a radio cassette player from the 70's..!?
@@gups1974 @larslengberg as a software dev, I've worked on a number of line-fit automotive projects. Essentially the head unit is still something that'll follow the standard DIN size (no reason to change that, really), but the software running on them will be something custom, since they are integrated with the vehicle's systems.
This usually occurs when the headlight connector is missing or the headlight connector is not connected. If that doesn't work, I think there may be a problem with the wiring.
Does the installation of the rear camera cause radio interference? It does on mine, and it's really bad. If I disconnect the camera from the dashcam (so only the front camera is active) the interference is barely there.

have you tought about connection this led to the door lighting led or other interior light ? you will have the dimming syncronized with all lights inside the car, i will turn on when the headlights is on, and it will turn off when you turn of the headlights or turn of the car (using dimming like other lamps).
