Thanks for this legendary video which was very well done! It can also make a person very depressed as an owner of a C4 Picasso with such incredibly inconvenient battery access.. haha
Romain
Thank you for posting. Have been thinking of swapping out my 8.5 year old battery for a couple of weeks - not letting me down but stop start hasn't worked for ages. I figured better to be preventative than be stranded. Am planning to swap soon and am glad to find a video that looks exactly like my 1.6 HDI. Was just checking on the tools needed and on my car the bolt securing the flange is T30 rather than T27 in case it helps others.
If the battery is old, lead sulfate occurs, making it difficult to remove the negative terminal. In that case, if you mix water with baking soda and apply it to the negative terminal, it can be removed without difficulty.
@@paulpaul0422 2.0 The air box is in the front, and I have removed it. It is not difficult. If you look closely, it is easy to remove. I will take a video and upload it next time.
Yes, it's okay. "-"It's right to take out the terminal first, but it's difficult because of the structure. "+" You can wrap it with a fabric or something so that the terminal is not cut short.
The connector doesn't seem to come off because it hasn't been used for a long time. The battery can be removed without taking it out. It's just a little cumbersome and time consuming.
@@gups1974 Exactly this - this is why the engines are now under the windows and dashboards on such cars. Makes them difficult to work on but the space inside is great.
