The Gaming Decathlon is a challenge to master ten games in a hunt for the Olympic Decathlon's World Record score. Each game uses a scoring system based on 1,000 points. Game content appears quite normal to other channels but, mostly, behind the scenes I'm tracking the score I've earned on each game. Done some googling for you, Ute Winter is German and Katherine Oedekoven is American. Ute is a German girls name and Oedekoven is an American surname dating back to the 19th century. Hope that helps you.
Oedekoven might be American but it's also part of a town in the west of Germany. WW1 and especially WW2 caused strong anti german sentiment in the US to the point that many german families anglicized their surnames. There's honestly no right or wrong way to pronounce Oedekoven because of that. If they wanted to keep the surname close to it's original german prnounciation, then you pronounce it wrong but it's equally likely the Oedekoven family wanted their name to sound less german in which case, pronounce it whatever you find most comfortable.

But other is a German surname but is the American spelling of Katherine. Thanks for the info, it will be decathlons call in the end.
The biggest popularity gain is winning a stage of the TDF and that has the potential to increase pop to 7. So 8 and above is only possible if the nation begins the game with a rating that high. As for training structure, I've never seen anything higher than a 5 or maybe a 6 achieved. So something along the lines of a 7-6 is the highest you could expect to see.
Not guaranteed, just most likely. I explain it a bit more in the next episode. But I'm worried that with another season I'm going to completely dominate. But I'll play another season if I'm still struggling to compete.
The game is too short. After playing PCM with a full calendar, the short repetitive calendar of TDF gets old really fast. It doesn't lend itself to being a long series. I'd certainly like to win the TDF but to go through another repetitive season to achieve it, especially while likely winning 50-75% of the stages along the way isn't motivating for me. @grahamrice3905 has it right, I'm seeking number one in the rankings. Unfortunately, you go from uncompetitive to completely dominant in too short of a period. Grind, grind, grind, and then all of a sudden you're the best lower tier rider which quickly sees you become one of the best riders period less than a season later.
I had the same issue as you, and just installed IUrreta database editor and changed the wages of the drivers. I'm right now on the 2nd season and everything is fine
I don't get why you didn't just restart. You have been absolutely crippled already this season, and with the wages your drivers and staff are on you are already crippled for next season if you even manage to keep your job. You could have done a restart and simmed back to where you already where and been in a far better position. As it stands you will likely need to restart anyway and have just wasted 2 entire episodes doing something pointless.
This is my first time watching these type of gameplay, but aren’t you supposed to show and discuss more about Intensity, tactics and talks. What about interviews and trainings. I think people watch gameplay so that they can apply what they learn from here (of course some of then watch just for enjoyment) if you skip important aspects then I don’t think it’s that helpful. Keep up good work, learned a lot from your videos. Thanks.
Id restart. Imo you made a mistake at the beginning by not taking more upfront money from sponsors. Because your facility level is so poor you had no chance in fullfilling your sponsor objectives and collecting the maximum funds. You put yourself in a really tough spot to survive year 1. But ill keep watching to see if you can do it
I had to restart my career mode and since the updates the new save is better. I agree with the other 2 comments cut loses and restart again but look at better low level female drivers and get cheap staff so they don't get pouched early on. Gives you time to sort all facilities as well to get income in
I believe your math were off when you calculated the restaurant. If i saw it correctly you took the profit and like halfed it while it is the income halfed and the expence still at 100%
Interesting series, not sure why you ever go on vacation. You were probably a golden generation or two away from having the horses to compete in the prem. A lot of mediocre intakes
Hi DG, I think Roglic is crash prone, not necessarily bad at descending. Perhaps he suffers from poor bike handling having transferred to cycling late(ish) in life (maybe mid to late 20s when he started properly competing). In 2018, the tour that Geraint Thomas won, the standings were Thomas, Dumoulin, Froome Roglic before stage 19 I think. Roglic attacked Froome and Dumoulin (all the main GC riders were in the group but Thomas had enough of a buffer and a teammate in froome that he didn’t really have to ride on the front) on a descent finish gaining 20 seconds on the road to move into 3rd ahead of Froome but lost time in the time trial on stage 20 to Froome. I recall Zakarin either attacked on the last hill or was in the break and, because he is the Ilnur Zakarin, he is slower than a snail going down hill. I think Roglic may have got separation as he passed Zakarin and before Dumoulin had passed Zakarin. Probably only cost 2-3 seconds but it’s enough to create a gap and then you can’t just follow the rider ahead. Froome at that point was considered a pretty good descender but maybe he didn’t try taking too many risks.
I have mixed feelings about that. First choosing generated drivers and staff way better than any other females in the game makes this challenge not much of challenge. But on the other hand, having to pay that amount of money for them might even the odds a bit. I`m at least partially intrigued.
A bit unrelated to the video and I don't know if you've addressed it already as I like to binge watch your videos. But is there any way for you to fix the order of the videos in the playlist? As right now it counts down and it's quite annoying instead of going 1 to current so it's nice to auto play. (so far I've tried 3 times to start to watch the series again, but after 2 episodes I get too annoyed by this system :P)
