This! If pickrell could be signed for 8000 or less, that would be an absolute steal. However, I think pickrell may have been on 2-3 year contract and possibly ask for 15000. I may be missing Paton from the list. Is that Padun? Maybe with a sprinkle of autocorrect thrown in? Mark “NUCLEAR” Padun on 5.5k seems crazy low, although he’s going to be competing against many of the main gc riders to unlock more nations. I’m not sure stage wins in big races are going to be easier to get with him than the sprinters. Classification may be a good tool to look at how the stats transform to results. Rajovic has one of the higher classification positions despite being 11th in evaluation. Part of that will be that he hasn’t developed (he’s been at his current evaluation all season whereas younger riders will have been worse earlier) and another part is position within the team but I think it indicates that high flat, sprint and acceleration rating is a good formula for wins.
In big hills like that first stage i have more success just sitting in the group having my main man being protected. Train just doesnt work as well uphill this year it seems. Hopefully you get the pop win next episode! Cheering for you :)
I think you are overrating Xu, he's purely a flat only sprinter (as seen by stage 2 with nothing in the last 30km and yet still not having full energy despite the stall) and the hill (not the cobble) destroying his red bar on stage 3. Flat-only sprints is a fine niche to have, but then he only has 61 STA 63 FLA mean its either pancake flat or short stages
I agree, and with his 63 flat, he's just got no chance of getting into a good position. If DG had a better leadout train, Xu would be burning his red bar just to stay in the wheel!
