Some questions for the fandom: 1) What is your favorite scene in Good Omens, and more importantly, why is it your favorite scene? 2) Do you read Good Omens fan fiction? If so, what is your favorite fan fiction? I am posting this comment to a few Good Omens videos to get as many responses as possible, so you might see it again if you are like me out there binging ALL the ineffable videos. :)
If Shiv had been loved openly, she could love immensely. But instead she sees love as control, limitation, and isolation. She is doomed to be her father’s daughter instead of her own woman.
oh heck yeah! I really like the way you paced the dialogue; it's obviously a dialogue heavy vid, but you made moments of pause where just the song came through, and those landed with great weight because of the contrast. nice work friend!
hey, so most video editing software is going to have a place where you can adjust the brightness and shadows of the video-I edit in Final Cut which (if I recall correctly-I don't have access to it on my current computer and need to update some stuff, I'll finish the S2 videos eventually) breaks it out into "shadows" "midtones" and "highlights", so I separate out the different shots used in a scene (because a close up on an actor is gonna have different lighting settings than a wide shot, etc) and basically raise the midtones and brightness of the different shots until I have the eyes as visible as possible through the glasses, which involves playing around with it some to figure out what looks best-in dark or heavily backlit scenes it isn't always possible to get the eyes very visible but that's my method :)
It's got nothing to do with the brighter eyes, but I think I finally have to admit I kinda fell in love with these two when I think it's totally cute Azi likes strawberry-something-water-ice and Crowley Vanilla-stratiatella-something-ice? I would really like to know if I am the only strange one here? Because they are eating ice with Vanilla and strawberry... oh my gosh. So stupid 🙈😂
Thank you a lot for these "brighter" videos!😊 Though I always thought David can play Crowley brilliantly and uses his whole body for emotions and language etc, seeing his eyes sometimes adds a new layer: I like to see some smugness, or anger [...] in the eyes, I didn't see before. Especially that last scene. I always thought Azi looked totally shy smitten, but actually seeing Crowleys eyes - 😏😘 - yeahii, looks like he is totally in love too and flirting with Azi. Not bad 😁. Also before they hold hands, do I witness the famous indirect kiss indirectly?! I am not really sure that is great, but to some people it's a big thing. So I guess it's kinda sweet. Indirect kiss plus holding hands 🤭.
I love how he stoped a conversation to scream at the spies to don't feed bread to the ducks 🤣 And even more the fact that he also told us the correct food to give them
I can't help giggling at all the throwaway thoroughly British jokes. "Nah I don't say that. I like spooky. Big spooky fan, me. (beat) Now let's go talk to some nuns."
Heeey everybody. I'm definitely going to do all these videos for all the episodes but life has been hectic lately and I'm getting various asks about Episode 6. I'm going to do these episodes in order, but if you are curious about what episodes I haven't done look like and want to give it a go, here's how to do it in the editing program of your choice (please understand that I'm not going to advise on how to get said episode footage ty in advance): I use Final Cut but any program should have features like this and there are free options out there. My process is essentially just messing with the brightness/midtones/shadows (these are going to have different names depending on the program but all programs should have some feature like this) until I get as much visibility as I can. I typically raise the brightness first, then the midtones, then lower the shadows setting by -1 to -3 to add a bit of contrast back in. Some programs may just let you adjust brightness and contrast but similarly it's just gonna be fiddling around with it to figure out what looks best. Different shots in a scene are going to have different lighting so I prefer to figure out what settings look best for each shot and then apply those settings to all the times that shot is present. Happy editing! I'm a silly little youtube channel who makes silly little videos and while I appreciate the interest and share the love for Good Omens <3, the asks don't always feel too great to recieve (I get that the intention behind them is good though!) when I haven't been able to put the time into this I'd like, so I figured maybe sharing a little bit about how I do this might empower folks to give it a try themselves if they're curious about that last ep
The funniest part of this is the TikTok I saw from an extra; apparently during the pub scene David ran facefirst into a wall because he can’t see shit 💀
