People always argue between Off the Wall and Thriller as his best album and I don't have a problem saying either but....look how many damn hits Bad had. That's the album that I grew up on MJ with, I was either too young or not born yet when the first two came out, but I vividly remember my cousin playing Bad on vinyl and us dancing around all night to it. That's my personal favorite MJ album, even it's not technically his "best".
I think I remember reading that Can We didn't chart due to it not being available as a single, or something dumb. Billboard had some wild rules back then. I think it was what happened with Are You That Somebody with Aaliyah. Cuz both Can We and Are You That Somebody were huge when they dropped, it just didn't reflect on billboard.
When she was alive she was 3rd in sales. Her last album didn’t do well until she passed away. It came out the same say as Songs in A Minor snd the sales weren’t close.
Kanye wasn't out as an artist before then so this was a more apt comparison. They could have went a little longer but honestly Kanye had more hits in the 2010's where Jay barely had any.
This is cool but Monica and Brandy had more hit songs much after 2004 so it feels cut short. Everything to me, love all over me, put it down. I believe brandy just did a duet with someone a couple years ago.
Usher did very well in his career especially his peak during the Confessions era with 4 straight number ones in a row which only the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey have achieved. I think it’s more that have achieved this but I’m just going off the top of my head. Great video though.

I turned this off when Aaliyah’s Are you that somebody didn’t pop up in 1998 when it came out. Which earned her a Grammy nomination smh. This isn’t accurate. Lol. And 1996 her song One in a million topped the charts.

O ly reason Brandy sold alot was.bcuz she had that movie I know what u did last summer in the 90s her label promoted her well plus she had that show moesha so that makes it sells go up to ! If Aaliyah's label would have promoted her better sshe would outdid Brandy I mean let's be FORREAL she look WAYYYYYY better ...and on top of that she took that break from music for 3 years before one in a million came out if she didn't do that I think that messed up her sales to buy at the end of the day sh was.still a.platinum selling artist she never flopped
