Iba how do you feel the rubber is on open up vs underspin is the slow and spiny more easy or the fast forward open up I find it with these hard rubber's lately if they are not hybrid its very difficult to open up with the ball drops in the net a lot and the slow spiny open up just doesn't have enough quality like the softer rubber tenergy 05 etc. But I stay away from hybrid rubbers because they need changing every month or so and I find it very costly so I am wondering about your opinion on that matter.

Sometimes must be reglue rubber or not? But the problem with the rubber will shrink if we open it from the blade. Or Use until break the rubber before we change the new one?

Hi, I became a fan when I say your match in the Paris Olympics. I must say I was moved by your clean form for both the back and forehand. It feels like your using mix between Asian and European styles. If would appreciate is you could a video to elaborate of both styles and your thought about your current form.

I just learned of his retirement. Michael Mace was my idol. I started playing table tennis in middle school. I was not very good at it. The school was so strong that if I could place high enough in the city tournaments, I would be "praised". I just wanted to have fun. It was he who shocked me in those days. I didn't have the Internet, so I found out his name first from the Butterfly catalog and then from a friend at school. I was really bad at it. I couldn't "top spin" or "under spin" very well. But after I found out his name at the end of my seventh grade year, every weekday turned into time spent chasing him. Everyday practice became intense, not just swinging, but moving from place to place. A friend showed me a video of him. I was filled with an indescribable feeling as he sometimes showed his emotions and sometimes mesmerized me with his great backward play. I was really not very good at it. Specifically, I was not a "starting player. Of course, it would not be so easy to change even if I admired and imitated him. But I didn't care. It was the simpler things that mattered to me. He was cool. It was wonderful to expose myself like he did (strange as that may sound!). In the end, I finished best64 (lost in the 5th round) in the last city tournament of junior high school, and that was the end of my ping-pong career. I was still not very good at it, but I wanted to be like him, so I used my time in junior high school. I have no regrets at all. He taught me the importance of trying to be myself, and I made an effort to understand that throughout my three years. (I was sad when I moved on to high school and heard he had retired, but was happy when he came back. It was just so hard to find his games!) Without a doubt, Michael Mace is my idol. He is still my idol. I wish him a better future. From Japanese fans (My English is weird. Sorry!)

The word "boost" was muted lol. Pros all do...this is why they use a press, especially those who use rubbers in MAX. Look at the Lebrun for example: as soon as their match is finished they put the bat in the press and tight it to make sure they don't exceed 4 mm.
@Blackain66
@Blackain66 Месяц назад
some but not all man, H3 sure needs boost but non chineese rubbers like D09c, D05 or K3 not really need it just like Iba said Nuzn can profit from it, but that also means not all rubbers need it
@freddupont9605
@freddupont9605 Месяц назад
@@Blackain66 When speed glue was allowed it was increasing both speed and spin, which is what boosters do too. Do you really think any offensive pro would not have used speed glue? No way, it would have been such a disadvantage. In Montreux in January 2024 I spoke with Thibar representative between two matches of the European Top 16. I asked a question about the glue sold by Thibar. The answer was "I can't answer because as you know boosting is prohibited". Just a way to avoid the question of the booster. On top of it you can CLEARLY hear the difference between boosted and non boosted rubbers, especially with the Haifu.
@Blackain66
@Blackain66 Месяц назад
@@freddupont9605 when speed glue was a thing yes. but nowdays there are more modern rubbers out and not all are even great will boost nor does it give more control. also the rackets are tested on big tourneys somewhat

@@Blackain66 Testing measures the VOC. There's no VOC in oil based boosters. I played in 1st national league in Belgium, trained at the Borussia Düsseldorf when I was living in Germany. I dare you to find an offensive player from the top 100 who wouldn't boost. D09c is waaayyyy to slow not to be boosted for playing at the highest level except for defensive players.
@Blackain66
@Blackain66 Месяц назад
@@freddupont9605 u sure about that? do u think the players boost them themselve or do they get it boosted from their supplier already like butterfly creating "faster" versions for their players?

Respect Iba! Why 2 layers on rubber ( carbon blade) and 1 layer on rubber ( all wood blade). Is it with 1 layer on rubber- more control & spin, but less speed?

Is the blade synteliac vci on both? I'm wondering how it compares with harimoto ALC (I've been using this blade for around 4 years and it's got a few splinters in it now), I bought my blade in Tokyo which was really cheap but European prices for butterfly are kinda expensive so I'm thinking of synteliac vci or Xiom 36.5 ALXi
