i have a question so if i have successfully mounted the image to the disk without doing it manually do I have to do all the step or can I just go to my uefi or somt to boot windows??
After years of using Ubuntu on my laptop with bad BIOS without a possible way of changing my boot options finally with your help, I was able to reinstall it. Thank you!
5:46 Why do you have a boot manager on the USB before adding the VHD file? Is there some other preparation for the USB required first? Can I really take a VHD of a windows install and just run the bcdboot command to make the USB bootable?!
I want to go from Win7 on my current HD to Win10 VHD on same current HD. I read on MS site that Win10 won't work in a VHD file, only VHDX. True or False?? If true, then we can't use Win7 to make the VHDX because it came out before VHDX was invented.
I haven't tried this, but I have worked with vhd booting. The video claims you can boot dual boot windows 10 VHD on windows 7. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ui_0Q50Qgi0.html
Can this be done with WinXP? Or are the tools (bcdboot, gimagex, etc) different for XP? (I have an XP Oracle VirtualBox, that I'd like to image an external drive with.. can the image be transferred such that I can then boot/run XP via a USB/SATA cable?)
Hi... May i ask something i need help I have the partition contains the Windows iso just like in the video... But i dont see the option in Boot, Can u please tell me how to using grup2 chainloader? Please... Thank You
You are a life saver i corrupted my mom's pc and tried to do a clean install but the usb has some important files on it. And after searching for several hours got to this video.
Between the obnoxious music, computer voice and difficult subject matter, this video is to annoying to listen to long enough to solve any problem. I made it 13 seconds, such a shame.
just use any hub75/75E panel with pxmatrix library or adafruits library and you should be fine, also this seems like a commercial product so no way he is gonna give you the code
Hi brother !! RecentlyI have installed q4os linux distros on my PC in G: drive instead of C: drive. I've done it through windows installer file. After successful installation and while rebooting it presents boot command prompt & asks for a boot file from cd or any drive ! What could be the problem bro ???
Hey! I got a problem. In the GRUB menu when i click Window 10 it showed me orange screen with lines somthing like that. tell me what to do please . I am using Ubuntu 14.04
Without edit grub.cfg you can put this in command line grub2 chainloader(hdX,gptX) "and press enter" boot "and press enter" in X you must put the number assigned to that partition that work for me.
for booting from grub4dos cmdline type thise commands.. find --set-root /bootmgr chainloader /bootmgr that loads bootmanager versions of windows which means wind wista to 10
