Yeah..no. Cool boat BUT, your absolutely insane with that price. I will wait until the morons buy at retail, then maybe buy cheap. Thing is, I have seen a fish fin puncture your 1400$$ joke boat. Its supposed to be for fishing bud...garabage and overpriced. Lucky for us the asians will rebrand it and probably make it affordable. You deserve it for those prices.

Do you think the hand steering would be strong enough to steer the motor? Just curious why you went with foot steering when you already had the hand steering in place for the rudder. Helpful video thanks!
@coylehman

I don't think steering with your hand work work well. The motors have a lot of power. Using your feet, keeps your hands free while Fishing too.

I bought a pedai drive system for a Perception Pescador Pilot 12. I installed it on my kayak and when you pedal to go forward it goes in reverse. To move forward I had to pedal like I was going in reverse. Do you know why its doing this and how to fix it?

I want to see an overhaul of the radar platform with a new mold. Love the kayak but it could use several changes. -Hide the rudder underneath so we can motorize it and still have a rudder. I think it this would be perfect to continue the whole pedal/paddle/power idea. You get the control of a pedal kayak and the range of a motor. -a better front hatch whether it’s just sealed better and raised up a bit so water doesn’t pool around it or something completely different like the recon/ATAK -put the well nuts on the right way please -Fix the layout for for people shorter than me trying to pedal and still reach there rods on the krate (it’s a stretch at 5’10 so I’m sure some people struggle with that so shorten the space behind the seat a bit. Better rudder system. It’s an easy fix on the current one but it would be nice. It would have to change anyway with a different rudder system. - flatter interior deck walls for drilling into or maybe even steal the plate idea used by a few other manufacturers. At least some area that is flatter -more space under the seat would be nice. Things I like and would want to see kept. -flex pod -helix drive is good. -the overall hull dimensions and design are good. -overall layout except shorten up the space behind the seat.

Recon or Radar? Which one is your best?

Both are great Kayaks. I highly recommend either one. The big difference is size and weight. If you primarily go to lakes or rivers with east access, go Recon. If you need a bit lighter Kayak to drag over a bank to access a river, go Radar.

@@coylehman I know, that's what I thought, but I was told the 2024 line will be, paddle only or the non HD and fully HD. They took away the possibility to upgrade to HD drive afterwards. Only the older version will have the open pod, and of course I can't order it, discontinued.

Looks nice cart...BUT.... What can happen when one wave came after the other at the sea water??? You have to move very fast!!! All the similar videos shows the cart move on land in a very controlled situation and not in a real "field"... I'll like to read your answer on that... Have good time every time!!!! Best regards from Hellas (Greece)!!!
@coylehman
@coylehman 9 месяцев назад
The question is, how do you do it now? The product is made to assist in manually transporting your kayak, not a rapid extraction from a waterway. I would continue getting out of the waves in the same manner you currently do, then use a kayak cart to transport it the rest of the way to your vehicle or wherever it's going. Most of the time, this cart would be left in your vehicle, after you launch, then when you return to the shore, you land the kayak and retrieve the cart from your vehicle and use it to wheel the kayak back. It's designed to help you transport over dragging the entire way. There isn't a product on the market that would do what you are asking.

Thanks for the video. I just recently bought a 55lb thrust trolling motor to put on my kayak. I also bought a 100ah battery that weighs 63lbs which now is a pain in the butt to get on my other kayak cart which is a GanFindX U shape kayak cart. My old cart is only easy to use when your kayak is not that heavy to lift it with one hand and put the cart through the scupper holes. Now with all the extra weight it's a pain to do it so I was looking for another option that fits my new circumstances.

Best cart I believe on the market. The way you set it on the side of your kayak and lift the bow, and it sits perfect on the cart. I have my 2023, Oldtown Sportsman 120 pdl, and run the new PP 768 Bixpy on a gravity rudder. THE Battery is heavier, because the extra battery life and power, for this kit. I trailer her on a new $350.00 Harbor freight trailer, that's plug and play into my truck. I have my PVC tubes I added to the trailer. But I pull up to where my launch spots are. Take my kayak off my trailer, and finish adding all my accessories not using the ramp. I use the cart to wheel it down with 2 fingers. And my total setup when I launch is approx 135 lbs. 💯 🛶 🌊 🎣

@Coy Lehman at 00:37 this is only applicable if the rudder control is in the left hand position with the stock rudder handle. I’ve got mine rigged on the right side because I right hand retrieve with my reels spinning or casting. For anyone that buys an aftermarket rudder control, consider that you might need to purchase a REVERSE rudder control for using it on the right side otherwise it’ll end up backwards.

In a nut shell, I barely ever switch back to pedals, but have the option. The Torqeedo Mount has thumb bolts, so it can come completely off. The rudder then pins back on the mounting block and you attach the steering line to the rudder. Wouldn't be much work at all. I have a YakAttack transducer arm for the side, if I need to just switch for the day. OR, ideally with this Kayak, you would want to mount the transducer in the recessed area, under the rear tank well. This is where the manufacturer recommends, but I don't use it since it requires through hull grommets, only because I trade my Kayaks out yearly. Check the better transducer setup out here: m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=128150992642980&id=100063442405412

I'm sticking with the helix drive for exercise but I can see how the torqeedo would open up more fishing spots to me so maybe in the future.
