6:02 Quest drop for Diablo in normal on classic 1.0 and they give you a poopy short bow. Lol never change Diablo 2. I think the reason I like Diablo 2 so much is because it's so raw and brutal. You can grind forever and ever and finally find the item you want only for it to roll low stats.
My first played Diablo 2 in the summer of 2000 at my neighbor's house when I was maybe 13 or 14. I remember the first character we created together and took turns playing was a summon necromancer that used poison dagger and teeth. We definitely put points into every skill. My favorite builds were Thorns Paladin and Iron Maiden Necromancer back in the day. Now I want relive those experiences.
I always played summoner and my ex gf always played javzon. She would run to an area, TP me in and I would tank everything for her. We kicked ass back in the days for keys and organs.
It takes a bit of taking used to at first but it's very smooth. I played LoD on pc for decades but ended up switching (mostly, can't do modded stuff on console)

When I first got this game as a kid I was playing on patch 1.03. Not sure when they eventually changed this but iron maiden and blood golem was insane. If the monsters only do physical damage it is basically invincible and kills everything. You could do hell cows with a level 18 character and 1 point in each of those skills. As busted as that was, it was actually necessary for solo running hell as a summon nec. Otherwise it was impossible to get summons going.

I remember the recording for this taking about 2 weeks, but I can't remember how many hours anymore sorry. So about 2 weeks when this channel was still just a hobby and I could never spend more than a couple of hours per day on it
Poison Necro is so much fun. Kills great in low duels. I crushed with my old OJsimpson character. Just make sure your gloves don't fit your character, so get some barb gloves or something. 🤣 But they are one of the most expensive to make for hell mode to be viable.

Just a fun little factoid about barb versus barb dueling in classic. One of the best setups was simply to use swordback hold and twitchthroe. This gave you max block and 50% open wounds which was ultimately the most reliable way to do damage. The best weapons were rare battle hammers for pvp and Martels or lances for pve. The maximum roll for damage on a rare was 200%. Barbs usually used whatever weapon they could get, including nagas and exe swords with high % rolls. Helms were usually grim helms with high defence and other useful stats. The top tier pvp barbs sometimes used really high def ornate plates and pavases but from what I understand this gave only a marginal benefit over the twitch + bhold combo. I never really saw anyone with those although I read about them on a forum once. Anyhow this run took me way back
