At $40 dollars the Force Link Tie rules . I purchased 2. One is suspended from the ceiling and the other is displayed as a wreckage. The other cool thing about this unique ship separation is that I can also separate the suspended one so both panels are separated as if floating ship debris.
I just picked this up, new, yesterday from a local shop. I gotta say...I am pretty damn impressed! I love the range the head gets, and fact that he can be brought to a complete base figure is AWESOME. Yeah, i wish we had swappable forearms with the gauntlets and gloves, but, it's a stellar figure with lots of range and playability, I feel. It's also cool as a display piece. You can have Jango by himself, and then put the armor on a small stand as if it was stored. You can give it to young Boba, capturing moments from when he must have collected the armor to flee from Geonosis. Or, you can actually slap it on to loads of other figures with somewhat neutral bodies for a custom Mandalorian figure! I just wish the shoulders were a TINY bit smaller
He looks great. Looks factory made. I’m about to attempt Hardcase on a clean 6 inch Amazon 4-pack phase 2 trooper. I’ve done all the other Umbara 501st boys. But, I’ve been really procrastinating on him because I’ve been too nervous to attempt those fine lines. And taping the surfaces off doesn’t seem to fit. So, he’s gonna be freehand. Wish me luck. Clones are Awesome! Thanks for sharing your video!
Need more rebel fleet troopers, maybe some rebel honor guards, and a couple of those rebel transport speeders with ground crew back from 2011, (toys r’ us exclusive) search eBay, Amazon, etc. that will enhance your dio!
A really good choice for a star wars character to go with ESB collection. I'm thinking about adding him. Along with the dark skin variant; to go along with the white variant because Kenner made two bespin guard alternatives back then. N to quote the original trilogy ESB star wars Kenner commercial. "Look! ITS A BESPIN GUARD." Really good character. If you have a lando calrissian or a lobot then you definitely need the guards because they are good army builders for bespin security. If there was a certain lot on ebay that sells the vintage bespin guards; this one; n the more recent Hasbro ones from the legacy collection I will buy that in an instant. I don't have any guards n I would love to have some.
The Vintage is BETTER looking for sure. The only thing is that the wings are EXTREMELY brittle. SAME mechanism broke on the two I bought. They broke whilst on display.... I’m 47yrs old. It wasn’t played with... I opted to glue both (wasn’t as easy as you would think, with the tension from the inner springs.)
The "Vintage" version is MUCH more "Screen Accurate" IMO! I have two of them that I was able to snag off of E-Bay for under $40. 00 each! I WISH they would have done the Darth Vader TIE Advanced with as MUCH Detailing! I've since done some "Up Grade" painting to both of them and then will hang display them in my Hobby Room!
There is nothing wrong with the Force Link 2.0 wrist band. As a kids toy it does bring enjoyment. Especially if you own quite a few Force Link figures. Speaking of which, a lot of the Force Link 3.75 figures look fantastic. If I would have had these when I was a kid I would have been inside Star Wars heaven 😺
Its a great figure.Everyone should definitely add this super figure to there Star Wars Collection. This figure will go up in value in years to come! 👍😃 Great review
Great vid. As a straight up model of the Tie, I’ve got to give it to the vintage based on your vid. Looks spot on, nicely detailed and not too toy like
The vintage is awesome looking as a static model. Dimensions wise, it’s probably the most film accurate “toy” they’ve made. I would clip the springs and glue the wings. Can’t wait till the rollback at Walmart. 😎
YEP! I did that on mine too! I kept the spring because it held the wing panels in place while the epoxy dried. I used Gorilla Glue two part epoxy to glue the Panels on and they are NICE and STRONG and RIGID Now!
I agree with previous comments! The comparison of both is awesome! A combination of both versions would probably be the perfect version...but owning both is definitely a win! I just saw that (some) Walmart stores have the TVC TIE Fighter on sale for $40! I wish I lived in the U.S. - thanks for sharing your thoughts! Still wish you a lot of fun with these great additions to your awesome collection! Cheers from Germany!
