The adventures of Fairy the retired racing greyhound who lives in England. She loves campervan travels in my vw t5 mostly to Wales, Dartmoor and Cornwall, wild camping, mountain hikes, running on the beach and sleeping for 20 hours a day. Fairy is very spoilt and wants for nothing. She has a great diet, is always offered water from her doggy water bottle on walks/runs and has coats for every weather and occasion! I adopted her in August 2022 and waited a year until I let her off lead on the beach after building trust and a strong bond with lots of recall training on a long line at home. She is also an amazing school therapy dog who is calm, gentle and listens to children read, promoting calmness, wellbeing and happiness in an infant school 🥰 I will be posting lots of videos about Fairy, her daily routine, care and walks. Also some informative videos about camping equipment I use. Posts Wednesday & Saturday. 🏴🏴🇬🇧 Follow Instagram: @fairy_therapy_greyhound
What a wonderful day for your precious girl. It is so good to watch an ex racing greyhound having a great time and just being a dog . I bet she dropped like a rock on the couch when she got home. ❤
It is interesting that your greyhound seems to run anti clockwise, as they do when they race. When I let my rescue greyhound Madge off, she always seems to run clockwise, which is interesting?! She raced at Poole racetrack in Dorset, which is shut now, thank goodness. xxx
How lovely ...stumbled across your channel ❤❤ got my Greyhound Boy 4 years ago from a Rescue in Ireland ....he turns 7 soon and i remember his Zoomies when he was two...sadly they are quickly and after that early hard Training his hooks get Arthritis and he had y ruptured disk from a fall in the track....nid he takes things much slower...and i would not Change my Boy for money...Love from Germany, keep the adventures coming ....
I love all the girly clothes you give her! She’s like a canine Barbie! And she’s such a beautiful and sweet girl, too. ❤ Thank you so much for filming these trips for us. ❤❤❤
When she ran in that long straight line, instead of in circles, she broke the programme. Look at her tail afterwards. It higher than before - she knew she'd just achieved something.
Urgent!!! Please read all. Greyhound owner here!!! Be careful. They are sight hounds not smell hounds. Thus they can easily get lost with no way back to you. Train them right away to come back quickly with smells food whistle lights a loud but pleasant horn. Don’t ever release near woods traffic big hills. You will lose them. My greyhound was trained properly and I could even take hiking on trails mountains. But on step at a time.
What a beautiful animal! Her gate is not only incredible but elegant as well. It so wonderful to see she is having an incredible retirement with a loving family. So many of the dogs do not survive being racing dogs. I wish many more years of shear happiness and health to Fairy.
Hi there, I'm looking for beaches to take my greyhound to and the fact that this one has a fence behind the dunes + gate to the carpark/ road makes it feel like a good option- would you mind sharing where it is? Would appreciate it.
We’re so excited, we adopt our new greyhound tomorrow! We’ve had two before, so we have some idea of what to expect - but they’re all different from each other.
It must be so rewarding to see her learn to be a dog! Not just a chase the "rabbit" on an oval track, but an actual running free and playing dog with a loving human .vs. someone who quite possibly is figuring out how to make the most profit out of her life! Both of you are blessed to have each other in your life!!!
had a simiiar situation a few times. dogs know there friends. 1 time second dog located first lost under a deck. usually stand or return to original area and call out.
OH MY GOD - tears welling up here. We had a rescued ex- racing greyhound (Millie) and she did the exact same things as Fairy! Bless you -ALL ANIMALS should be treated with love, respect and be free!!! Xo
