Hi, i have had problems with my Brute Force 08 that it did not run well. I replaced sparkplugs, air filter and finally the fuel pump. After replacing these parts, it ran perfectly for some time, but when i started to tow the lawnmower, the Brute Force began to backfire and did not run as before when the motor was hot. The lawnmower is 350kg heavy, is this too much weight to tow for my BF?

I need to do this on my property. What is the best time of year to do this? I have to rent the equipment to so I need to get the best and most for my money. Thanks for any advice.
I do it year round. However I had best success in the fall in late October. After the mower went through I treated any exposed stumps with brush killer. We killed our largest buck to date 3 weeks later in that same area. I use my own tractor loader to rip out AO year round but it’s easiest when the leaves are off. I did that in one warm day in January for 2 acres. These mowers are dangerous so I recommend hiring it vs DIY.
All of a sudden my brute 2016 model with 740 miles today went to ride round the subdivision would only do 30 mph no power keep dying out and cutting off and would idle for shit hopefully this will fix the issue I put some sea foam in it and try to run it for a while didn’t help
Drain gas from your tank and replace with new. Use a suction pump to pull out any sediment or bugs. Try that first before you replace the pump. Common issue is dirty gas.
@@MyNameIsMrSwifty yes replaced filter on pump very easy came apart easily and replaced both plugs she is a monster now guess I fouled the plugs due to air fuel not being right the filter was plugged up looked like a tea bag
That sock filter looks pretty dirty. They do come off, and you can buy replacements for them, part number 49019-0013. I replaced my this past week due to it not getting enough fuel due to that filter being clogged.
Can any here help me with my brute... It has problems... We got a new fuel pump, spark plugs, compression is good, it turns on with lights and everything and it spins over but wont crank... Do I need to program the fuel pump or something...That's just one guy said... I know more about cars than four wheelers but i know a good bit...
When you turn the key on after it’s been sitting a day, you can hear the pump run for about 5 seconds to build pressure. That should let you know your pump is working. I don’t know what you mean by spins but won’t crank. If you means it cranks but don’t start, could be a myriad of things. If this problem began when you put in a new pump there’s a good chance you disconnected or misconnected a wire. Hard to troubleshoot that by messaging. I would recheck all my electrical connections and make sure they are tight, not cracked. I would also spray some starter fluid in the air intake. If it tries to start the pump may not be running. It is possible to install them wrong so the float is obstructed and doesn’t have its full range of motion. My part 1 video shows the orientation from the top when installed prior to removal.
@@NeedsMoreToys We have sprayed the fluid on the air intake we sprayed a little to much once, and almost caught fire but everything is fine and this problem happened before we put a new pump, we are taking to a guy on Saturday... We hope he can fix it, We made sure everything was ok after the short fire and its fine... What I mean when it spins over is that is sounds like it wants to crank but want, plugs are all plugged in by the way (sorry for my grammar and texting where ever).

Wow, so much faster than we are able to do it with our tractors. That looks fun too! Haha. We have thousands of autumn olive on our reclaimed strip mine project called the Habitat Oasis Project. Do you go back and spray them so they don’t regenerate from the roots? We’ve found that without herbicide they will just keep coming back.
I did walk around with a sprayer and hit the stumps if I found one but there was so much debris in most cases I couldn’t find them. The cutter took them off about 2” above the ground and I found all the stumps remained dead. It’s been a few years now and there is no sign they were ever there. I’ve also had great success ripping them out with my tractor loader but that is much slower and the dead bush has to get shoved out of the way. I use that for select removal rather than total clearing. The whole stump comes out this way.
I would add that it is great cover and screening so while I hate the stuff I left sections that border food, cut trails through some and cleared beds under some. Trying to get rid of it entirely is impossible so use it to your advantage and save your time and energy for other stuff.
I did end up replacing the pump. After the new pump install, it still ran poorly, wouldn't idle, same symptoms. So I drained the gas, changed the plugs and put in fresh Octane 89. Now it runs great. Maybe I had bad gas all along, or dirt/water in the gas? The plugs were slightly fouled which would be expected from the poor idling but not bad really when they came out and the original gas had been only a couple of weeks old when I had the problem initially. So I'm not sure it was the pump but its running good now.
@@NeedsMoreToys I have a 2015 750 brute force, 700 miles on it. My CVT light came on a few days before. No bad idle or rough running issues. Daughter went to use the ATV , and it will not start. followed your video to get the tray out. got the fuel line off at the pump, turned the key on and have no fuel flow out of the pump at all. Was wondering if you might know if there is a fuel pump relay , and where it might be located? before i pull the pump out. I can get my quad to start up on a couple shots of starting fluid, so i know it is not electrical. Just looking for ideas befor i jerk the pump out. Thamks
@@irvinbrown8926 CVT should be unrelated to fuel issue. I have a Yamaha that won’t start if voltage is low even if it turns over. Seems like I had that once with my Brute too. Battery needs to be at full charge to start it.
