Do not go to the one in fontana! This place suck and the one in fontana is the worst! I had a stained cup of coffee with lipstick on it. I told the waitress and she brought the same cup back. Then out porkchop was rotten! It had a faul smell i couldn't believe they served us that! Also the had this waiter curling the tips of his mustache on a mirror At the bar! Wth lmao i couldn't believe what was happening. Really bad experiences. We were still charge for the disgusting food we didn't even eat!
Absolutely beautiful video on the Great Ed Shaughnessy. I first performed with Doc and Ed in June 1967..when our late wonderful director, Paul Semicek brought them in as guest stars, for our annual FESTIVAL OF STARS event. Rest peacefully Brother Ed..your magnificent Spirit and talent enriched the world 🌎 Most respectfully..Vaughn Nark 🎺
Late night talk shows are completely devoid of Johnny's entertainment. Jay and Dave could also "entertain." Now, there's an untalented, politically boring, or silly vacuum. It's over. So over.....
Great tribute to a great drummer. I discovered him by watching Buddy on the Tonight Show in the early 1970s. Hopefully he will never be forgotten because he influenced a lot of players.
I would have loved to have spoken to him in person. I learned improv comedy at Second City, and he seems to have had a natural grasp of what they do, but he had it 20 years before they codified it.
Just wonderful I never knew Big Band Ed was from Jersey until I helped at Sam Ash in cherry Hill NJ in one of his clinics Mike S a co worker picked him up at the Airport mike was also a fine drummer and a Ludwig man and a Ed S lover he was in heaven before during and after this clinic it was a joy to learn see Ed up close and personal as a Jersey boy myself I was truly proud and pleased a played a small part that day RIP ES
Ed Shaughnessy played on five Count Basie LP's and sounded fantastic. If you watch any of Johnny Carson re-runs (on RU-vid), you can hear the Tonight Show Big Band play uninterrupted during the commercials. Incredible performances!
Priceless. Saw him on his own show (before it was canceled) doing an improv given to him of a cat trying to be let in. I was in HS and laffed at his 'interpretation'.......long and hard. To this day. I don't know why.
That was so enjoyable. I am the poorer for not having seen years ago. I loved his tonight show battle with Buddy Rich, seeing it on the night the show was first broadcast.
