Brilliant 👏 every drunk person ever has done this ,Homer remembers himself as being classy , witty , charming, and funny, but that's never the case when your drunk 🥴 and even more so when your around sober people. ( Some people cant handle there alcohol and shouldn't drink at all )
Homer do you remember the way you acted at the party. I watched the guy make some burgers prepared a burger with something that I thought was cheese spread turned out to be fruit spread ate that burger talked about some old music with some people played 73 men sailing on my phone then drank five of their beers in about two hours then my ride was late so I made a joke to the host about drinking another of their beers then I sprayed a kid with a water gun then got into a car that was being driven by another person who was sober.
To be fair to Patty and Selma it actually was nice of them to give Homer a check…….even if they did hold it over him Homer had nobody else who would give him money.
Dan Castellana who plays Homer really put a lot of great work into making this a funny scene. When I need a good laugh this is a scene that always gives me that laugh.
90s media had me really worried that as an adult I would have to attend stuffy house parties where everyone dressed their best and spoke about high society things
why'd they ever stop doing these more wacky and artsy animation sequences? far as i'm aware, too, they pretty much stopped even before it reached a point where most people would say it became "bad".
If they suspected so (particularly Ned of ALL people) then he should have invited his wife to dress more elegantly - ironically, as the ladies in this clip did. Low cut dresses showing that much cleavage invite more trouble than they're worth. Homer certainly never asked to notice that. Were I Marge, I'd not be a wife until my husband saw to it that a way would be found to prevent reoccurrences of that nature - for example inviting people over with a particular dress code on successive occasions. Homer taking ALL the blame is quite unfair.
