I’ve got a 2019 PA14 but knee replacement surgery two years ago has got me doing some research. I still use my pedals but can’t cover the ground I used to. This is the exact setup I’m planning on very soon. Thanks 👍👍
Talked to my local shop. We should have one mid August 👍👍 and opting for the Newport 36v 40a battery. I could save some coin and get a different brand battery but my local shop basically said any issues within the warranty they’ll just swap it out for a new one and keep things moving. I’ve dealt with this shop for years. Always treated me good so I feel better doing that then “hoping” an Amazon purchased battery would warranty anything. It’s gonna be a looooong 8 weeks 🤣
That’s a really good question I really don’t have to answer to lol my pack is light as possible. Any trip I go on whether it’s a tournament or just going out to fish, I know that doesn’t help but I really don’t have an answer for that!
I need to get my Hobie Pro Angler 14 out more. I love it, probably the best Kayak I have ever used, but 95% of the time I would rather use my bass boat.
Wow thats pretty good. Do they allow you to use your own battery yet? Or are they still requiring their proprietary battery only? I gotta check that one out also. Just picked up the NK300 for my titan 12 super excited
Thumbs down Hobie, really disappointed of your lack of support for your products regarding accessories. Purchased my hard earned cash on a Lynx and cant get your H-rail kit at any dealer in Australia. You have created all these specific h- rail attachments, which I had invested in that I had kept from my previous kayak, (PA12) and cant use them because your manufacturing/ supply chain is sub par. This is my 4th hobie can I can say its definately not the supportive company of old. Have contacted Hobie HQ and thus fare no response bar the automated reply. 👎🏼
I have it there main so it’s one less thing I have to worry about falling off the front, if I were to put it in front on the stern compartment! Try it out forsure
Keep the spare tire in the truck. Unfortunately, the light weight of the trailer has the trailer floating up on the side that you mount the tire to. Which is a pain on deep ramps.
I’ve done it a few times if I had to at the time but I think people say that you’re really not supposed to! I just use the handles and carried it over my head after I unload all my stuff into my vehicle and trailer!
I just snagged an H-rail kit! I was wondering if you’ve seen any damage to the hull at the rear mounting point? There are a few videos about this and one company is selling spacers to put between hull and back mounting bracket that they say mitigate this damage. Do you think the spacers are necessary?
and the rear attachment points will pull up the hull shell into raised bulges. It seems Hobie is saying it's just cosmetic, it's not, but now it sounds like they are going to include internal shims to maybe prevent it, but too late for those of us that have ruined $3k kayaks. Navarre is selling shims as well, but once the bulges are there, the shims do no good.
Nice video thank you..... ls there any place to buy a links that doesn't take 3 months to get it? Or is that the norm? Also How long does it take to receive the H rails once ordered as well as other Hobie links Accessories?
