I'd still say investing in mutual funds is essential, but over-expecting returns or expecting guaranteed returns is unrealistic. Over the long term, equity tends to give good returns, but the investment horizon should be long enough 10-15 years and keep returns expectations realistic - not too high like 15-20%
We should not compare it with inflation cz any form of investment would deal with inflation ,so just to look for what the particular investment's return after taxes

I still believe equity investment is necessary for everyone, and investing in an index is the simplest option. However, expecting returns of 15% or more is risky. This video emphasizes that equity investing is inherently volatile and risky, and it's important to keep that in mind.

Compounding is not applicable for mutual fund because of fluctuation in returns on daily basis. Compounding is applicable only for fixed return instruments…

nifty next 50 was 28,892 points as on 29.01.2018 and it was 43,413 points as on 14.11.2022 In ur video at 1.15.15 Pattu sir and u said that it did not break even or moved higher during 2018 to 2022.
