Is that a Czech paddler's boat you're paddling there (CZE sticker)? If so, sounds like an interesting story behind it: how did that make its way to the Savage river?
The boat originally belonged to Karolina Galuskova, daughter of Vladislav Galuska (owner of Galasport). Karolina was on the Czech team for the Junior Worlds that were held in Wausau, WI in 2012. My coach Dave Kurtz was a Galasport distributor in the USA back then and offered himself as a personal chauffeur for Vlada and Karolina during their time in the States. As a thank you, Vlada sold the boat to Dave for a heavily discounted price and it's been with Mach 1 Slalom Team in central Pennsylvania ever since. Karolina placed 2nd at the Junior Worlds in this boat, only finishing behind Jessica Fox.
