High Water Slalom Training - Spring Creek Kayaking - Bellefonte, Pennsylvania 

Spring Creek came up to 750 cfs the other day thanks to an overnight rainstorm. Normal flows here are usually between 150-200 cfs. I had to rush over to the gates to make sure they weren't dragging in the water, and of course I had to hop in a boat and enjoy the flows after adjusting the gates. If only we had these flows all the time, and with taller, well-built barriers for creating better eddies and features ...
