Unfortunately You're just showing how to replace the lock this unit is locked and even going through the different code button pushing to get it to unlock it is not unlocking so how do you open it manually? Do you have to get to it from underneath when I remove the panel from the bottom where the filter is and cleaned out the filter and still didn't work when I ran through the code to release it again!
Thank you for this video. The door locks, then unlock and lock again and the cycle starts for a few seconds then it stops and the program starts blinking. Originally this issue started intermittently and only with the hot water, with time warm water joined and now it most of the time does not work with the warm and cold settings as well. I purchased the new Door Lock WPW10253483 and installed it. However, after the installation, the washer did not want to wash at any cycle. I was running the diagnostics and had F26 error code again. After the diagnostics, the washer was washing fine for a week and now it just refused to wash again and open the door. I was running the diagnostics again and the error code was F26. Assuming the door lock was new, I installed to old door lock switch back again. I measured and old Door Lock WPW10253483 and the new door lock resistance between the contact 1&3 and it was the same on both 118 Ohm. The manual tells me it should be 320 Ohms. However, I instated the old door switch back and returned the new one I purchased. The washer started to work fine after the diagnostics test for two weeks now. I am just wondering if there is an issue in electrical contacts somewhere between the door lock and the WASHER CONTROL BOARD W10251767? Every time I would place my hand on these electrical connectors on the WASHER CONTROL BOARD and just wiggle these and push them - my washer works fine for another 3-4 months. Any help is really appreciated regarding the troubleshooting and repair!
Thank you for your video that makes cleaning my washing machine sounds doable. I will definitely use powdered detergent from now on. I do have a question: what about something like Oxi Clean color boost which is liquid? Can I asume that this as well as other liquid clothe softeners are also out? Thank you.
Thank you for very informative video. You make cleaning the washing machine doing. I will definitely change to powder detergent. One question: things like Oxi Clean color boost, which is LIQUID, has a blurb on the bottle that says “use with detergent”? Should I assume that Oxi Clean for Stain removal out as well as liquid clothes softeners (usually liquid) are also
Do not be upset. I will share my fix :( Wife get upset (i watched vid on youtube to learn how to get the board out :) In my case i had a f70/f71 for over 6-9 months hoping that it will go away somehow miraculously. It would start and stop before spinning, beep and do not start at all, lock the door etc i did a lot of unplugging. Wife said: enough !!!!!!! back to motor board. im looking at the board and see "communication" circuit from the computer is separated from the rest of the board with two Optocouplers TCLT1103. I looked at it close with magnifying glass x10 and see a bit of tiny residue between 3 legs. Cleaned it with needle/spirit/brush. Put everything back together and now it looks as it is finishing the whole cycle. it looks like this tiny residue was giving problem to the transistor side (reading side) of TCLT1103 Optocoupler and could not communicate properly with the main computer. Somebody is going to hate me !!!!!!
Dave great 👍 instructions I replaced the one on my Maytag maxima it worked but after one load of wash it stopped working I’m wondering if there’s something other burning it out.Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Do you have a video on that washer but with out the spring clip??? Mine is more technically advanced it seems. The rubber is attached to the machine. No clip ...
Once you have cleaned the machine with the powdered dishwasher detergent, where do I put the powdered laundry detergent, in the soap tray or just put it in threw the door? Thx
Don’t forget to keep the door gasket drain tube clear of debris. I have a few cats and a dog and the hair plugs this drain tube up and than the stink really gets bad. I pulled out a 2” tube of compressed hair and 3/8” think and the drain hole was plugged. I pulled that out but it’s difficult to do so you better have a fair amount of patience.
I have a Maxima washer and the front loading door will not latch. It makes contact but will not latch. There are no codes on the screen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Greg
You made this so easy! My machine is 12 years old. But there are no new washers outthere that I want to wait 6 months for. Other than the lock problem, it runs great. It took me about 5 minutes and a headlight to remove the old one and install the new. I would have not figured out that spring thing trick. You can't even see it.
Hi, i have a amana front load washer. Before I get rid of it could you show how to clean the hoses/filter. My clothes have a funky smell. Thanks in advance. My machine does not have a panel in fron you can remove
Hi David, thanks a lot for your accurate description of the problem I give you a five stars but the video was so dark that I couldn't see what you were doing or tell what was happening at all perhaps if you shine a klieg light we could see what you were doing as you were speaking. Thanks again for the information
Yes exactly!! The same question applies to why washers don't fill up with enough water. This is why I don't like top-loaders there is a federal mandate from the EPA that we can only put so much water in the washers. There for you can not put a agitator in most of them, and they don't clean the clothes! Front loaders are the only way to go. Because of this mandate.
I have a maytag mah8700a and what to put a relay on the door lock circuit for washer done HA project can someone tell me what color wires the coil goes on
Crazy but this totally worked. I did a cleansing cycle of vinegar (as suggested by another youtube video) followed by a cleansing cycle of powder dishwasher detergent as suggested in this video and the stink was totally gone. Switched over to powder laundry detergent and the stink hasn't come back. I've been putting up with this stench for years so thank you for the tip that finally fixed the problem.
This error came up on my 10 yr old WP Duet. I followed his advice, ordered a new Motor Control Unit online and replaced it for about $250. It’s running perfectly! Thanks again!
This is the first time that anyone has suggested something that I haven't already tried to get rid of the awful odor from my front washer! I just have to get some some powdered dishwashing detergent and some powdered detergent, which I haven't used in years! I checked my LG front Loader directions and it said to remove the front department in the drawer to use powdered detergent. I can't wait to get rid of that obnoxious odor! We were ready to buy a top-loading washer and I really didn't want to go back to that type but I'm sick of that terrible smell! Thank you so much!
I'm new to using front wash and this was informative. I didn't know about the use of liquid and powder for these machines. Thanks cause I've smelled a odor recently from the machine that was left in my new home..
