Sorry for your loss mate...Nice Shot of that Manta Ray too bud! Interested to see what choice you go with next? I'm just getting used to the Avata 2 I got a few weeks back 🙂. Might catch you up the Sunny Coast sometime!!
Yeah the cheeky lil' guy just hanging out there 😂🤣 feel free to hit me up for a fly sometime. Hopefully I will get more of a chance to fly over the next few months. 🤞🏼
You never know what is going to happen on that first flight 😂🤣 it sounds like you were able to recover and get flying again shortly after... that is the most important thing... keep flying!
Great video mate! I've enjoyed watching your journey with the Nazgul Evoque. You should try the F6 next - you'll love it. I fly over water all the time, pretty soon you won't even worry about it. Keep em coming mate. 💪🤙
Hi, nice mount. Is there a file on thingiverse? I have not yet found a DJI Action 2 Mount that fits the standard small gopro mount on the Protek Pusher 25.
Hey there! It was fun to watch this video I wanna ask about how did you fix the range issue? Can you please explain. I had the same issue with my Dji fpv drone which i already sold it, but just wanna know how did you do that for the next time i buy one. Thank you :)
Never really had any range issue... I am always trying to find ways to extend my range... I am good with Crossfire and Caddx for about 800m to 1000m with the right L.O.S. 🤠👍🏼
Sorry for my ignorance, im only asking this as i want to fly FPV with goggles, is it only yourself that is required to be a member of the MAAA in this situation or do all your spotters also require to be members also? Can my wife act as my spotter?
Hey mate! I rang the secretary of the MAAA about this about 18months ago and he said only the pilot of the FPV drone will need to be a fully paid member of MAAA the spotter does not need to be a member. My wife is my go-to spotter! Cheers 🤠👍🏼
Nice info, your lighting (or lack of) makes it hard to stay focused on the video and watch. Try key lighting yourself or illuminating your self with natural light so we can see the front of you ;) - thanks again for the video and I wish you growth and success with your channel :)
Thanks a lot for the video , I had the same issue and since 2 hrs doing debugging thats where i came across this video and thought to give it a try and it worked .Even my usb c extender was damaged .#Thesaviour
nice video! I am flying my protek 35 right now and learning too. I am wondering how do I activate acro mode on my protek 35? I think its on level or horizont level right now as a default
You will need to play around with the modes in Betaflight and assign it to a switch for better access. There is a link at the bottom of my video to the video i used to help me 🤠👍🏼 thanks
Hey Dan, I currently live on the Sunshine Coast and just wanted to ask if you need any permits to fly a drone over 500g for commercial use? If so, what would they be? Thanks!
Hey Josh - if your drone is under 2kg all you need to do is take the quick quiz on CASA website and pay the registration fee (i think it is $40per annum/per drone) and then when you are flying you just need to make sure you stick to the standard operating procedure (SOP). Once you have done all that you are fine to make money from your drone. 🤠👍🏼 thanks for reaching out!
Pretty sure you need the button working on the Crossfire unit. Otherwise you will need to replace the Crossfire Nano or whatever you are using. Let me know if you need a recommendation for repairs in Australia. 🤠👍🏼 thanks for your support!
Great video, that shipwreck drew me into Magnetic Island too. We just spend a week there. You might find our "after trip" video interesting. :-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VNqOGrxy5OY.html
Dude you are a lifesaver - what are the chances you put this video out there? I had this same exact problem with hours of frustration until I came across this video. Quickly pulled that piece out and was able to plug into the usb-c easily and update firmware. Thank you!
No worries mate 🤠👍🏼 i knew someone else would have the same issue 😉 funny thing i have 3 iFlight cinewhoops and they all had issues the the adapters. Basically making it harder to setup by putting them in there 🤷🏻♂️
Very nice video, with the troubleshooting !!! And I like to see your progress with the FPV (I must admit that now I am encouraged to start too - I just fly normal drones and even DJI FPV in Normal and Sport mode). Just one thing, to change the rotation of the motors, you can use a software called BL_Heli_32, that will record the Firmware on the ESC controller board (but just the software related to the motors controllers). The issue with Motor 4 seems to have something to do with the Motor number 1. The MOS-FET circuits can be damaged due to the previous problem (the Motor 1 drained too much current and in the moment it got damaged, caused an unbalanced power distribution to the board, and probably damaged the MOS-FET from Motor 4). Well, to check that is only possible with good knowledge in electronics. Maybe the quick solution is to replace the ESC board. Good luck and when you get it repaired, please send us an Update 🤗
Thanks for the heads up! You make a lot of sense and I kind of thought that with such a small AIO board that what you said could be a real issue… 🤠👍🏼 thanks again for the support
i had a similar problem and turned out to be the wrong firmware I flashed to the wrong FC. so make sure to flash the correct firmware to your target FC ( better download the firmware from the manufacturer's website)
Nice job walking calmly through the troubleshooting process. At about 18:02 is when I start cursing uncontrollably scaring everyone and the dog. It doesn't help though. Looks like it's time to order a new board. At least the bad esc didn't seem to destroy the new motor.
I love this so much - had me giggling. Panic throttle alive and well. I renamed it "aggro mode", lost my shit a few times. Still beats my first flight...complete disaster and decided to go back to the simulator for a few more hours! "Off it's tits"...gold! 😂
I am just getting started in fpv aswell....glad i found your channel! Well i say fpv but i have not bought googles yet...i have a beta fpv meteor 75 and a Radiomaster zorro so far but will be buying some sort of googles soon! Any recomendations anyone??
I went with digital systems for cinematic purposes and if you go digital i think the concensus is that DJI Goggles V2 is definitely the way to go at the moment 🤠👍🏼 this would be my recommendation 🙌🏻 thanks for watching
I use DJI Goggle V2 and the to bind the goggles there is a small red button on the goggles and then an even harder to find grey button on the Caddx or DJI Airunit - it is usually near the USB-C connection on the air unit. Both buttons will require a small poking stick to get into the small gap 🤠👍🏼 thanks for watching 🙌🏻
100% it is hard! And time consuming and expensive 😬 my advice is even with REPL and REOC the more you can fly within SOP the easier things are! 🤠👍🏼 thanks for your support
With the stupid drone laws we have in australia even you doing this could get you a nasty fine. Even though its on a big property. No spotter apparently is a finable offence lol. Just rediculous.
Just want to clear a few things up… Firstly, there are 3 spotters on location for this shoot. They wanted to stay out of my video so i kept them out… you can see me talking to them… This is a private property where I have writen permission to fly at and I am flying within SOP with a MAAA memebership. Because I am not flying for financial gain this is totally above board. Moral of the story is, “Do your homework, dot your i’s and cross your t’s and you can fly FPV too instead of making excuses for not doing it…”✌🏼🤠 thanks for (maybe) watching
