AI regulation is just rich people trying to prevent normal people from having access to a form of wealth. That's the one and only reason. They know AI isn't actually dangerous. They know that the bad people using AI is minuscule and easily counterbalanced. AI need to be free, open, and accessible to everyone.
40% Of the population is clamoring for socialism. Which is communism light. Universal income. That segment of the population believes that the government has their best interest at heart and will take care of them. They want bigger government, more government control and more free stuff.
Notice that the people telling us AI is safe are all these billionaire investors poised to make billions more off of the technology. The people who warn about dangers are the scientists and engineers actually making it. They claim there aren't "panels of academics" but the majority of AI scientists are concerned. Look to Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio, turning award winners and "godfathers" of AI both warning of imminent extinction if we aren't careful.
Think of these costs no regs have caused; rail accidents that leave us supporting victims for food, shelter and healthh care. The cost of proper braking systems, etc. is minimal cpmpared to human life.

FEW CORRECTIONS; 1. She has BEEN a billionaire research and due diligence goes a LONG WAY! 2. SHES A CO-FOUNDER 1ST..... EX-wife second... she built something alongside someone with whom she was married. Correct me if I am wrong that is what most partners especially women aim to do???? The marriage didn't work however she walked away with what was owed maintaining the utmost dignity, poise, and respect. Persevering through it all. I hate that we rob people of their full praise and flowers by using them and their accomplishments as clickbait without doing the deep dive REQUIRED!!! I can only hope my family and friends admire me enough to ensure my story is told in its fullness not rewritten and diminished. This is the supposed high-speed line which promises to take you 200 miles in only 3 hours? I don't think that qualifies as high-speed rail in the global sense, any more than Amtrak's phony Acela service, which goes Boston-NYC (200 miles) in 3 hours 20 minutes!
I feel like we skipped a lot between her trying to kill herself and her having a casual 50 million available to purchase all of this land and these distilleries.
