Hello and Welcome to Dbest1a's Ride . Here you will see my Various Range of Videos, Feel free to pick a playlist and enjoy the entertainment. Facebook page - facebook.com/dbest1a
If I was cruising no.. but yes there wad a loss in audio. To overcome it , some may use an amp. I sold that exhaust n just run stock with drilled baffle. I got tired of the noise. Now I also have a reckless fairing on it with an amp system. See the playlist section for install.
i have the 2015 deluxe. I can't find the extra light bar. Where did you get it? Also, have you found any cheaper rear passenger floorboards? I can only find them for $300+ I would love to find an aftermarket rear trunk that I could have painted to match. Thanks.
I had a good time . Enjoyed the journey around the lake . I enjoyed the time on the bike . It's been parked a lot since due to work. Still have 2 or so other videos to edit.
Thanks , Got the shinko 777 in front (love it) and about to put the michelin comander II on rear, so this vid came pretty helpful. Dunlop 404 only lasted like 4 months about 5 to 6000 miles no bueno! on my 03 shadow spirit 750. Looking forward for the durability and performance of the commander II. Peace!
I have a 2014 VStar 1300 and watched both your videos on taking the tire off and on and the videos were very helpful. I didn't have a scissor jack so I used my floor jack instead and it worked real well because it is cupped shapped which helped prevent the tire from rolling.
You could , but it won't help due to needing to follow the procedure in the book of using the measure tool to apply tension to the belt n tensioning it close to book spec, but slightly loose .
thank you very much for this tip. I removed the screws this morning and was wondering why wasn't that red cover coming out 😀 I put the screws back and found your advice now. thank you again 🙏
Thanks it was a good time. I wouldn't mind going again but really like to get up the mountain. The bike week area was ok. Had some food in the area of the bike week that was just meh. The restaurants a little further away were better. Overall was nice to go n see
Yo dbest1a, I'm a brand new (to me) vstar 1300 deluxe rider. I really appreciate your maintenance videos and have saved many for working on my new V-Star. I have been looking for a replacement for my stock shield and the CeeBailey looks promising. Unfortunately they don't seem to make those anymore. 😢 I noticed that you had replaced your stock batwing and wondered if you would consider selling the Cee Bailey shield? I am interested if you decide to sell. Let me know. And it's all good either way. Stay safe out there my friend 😊
Congrats on getting your 1300. Hehe the cee Bailey was a nice shield . I did sell it a while ago.I don't think there are too many other shields out for the deluxe fairing but I could be wrong .
@@dbest1aVlogs Thanks for the answer my friend. I got a stock size shield on order that I am going to cut down to fit my height. I liked the idea of that vent on the Cee Bailey maybe I can find one on fleabay. Also want to try out the Royal Star Tour Deluxe handlebars. The stock bars are a pain between the shoulder blades. You definitely got a great channel for V-Star 1300 deluxe riders. Keep up the good work 👍
@averycausey3995 yeah that could work . There are lots of youtube vids on cutting down plexiglass. I did it to the ceebaily . A jigsaw and plastic cutting blades and lots of masking tape. I cut off approx an inch which helped me to see over. Thanks for the kind words on the site. I filmed a lot of vids based off of reading the owners manual. It was very time consuming but I knew they would help others that might need some guided info.
@@dbest1aVlogs Already practiced cutting the stock shield down like you said with a jigsaw. Chopped 5 inches off which may have been too much but no loss because it was too tall for me to see over and too yellowed to see through. Definitely got the bobblehead that you mentioned. I also got the Memphis Shades lowers but haven't put em on yet. I live in southern New Mexico and it has been a smokin" hot summer. Gotta get out early in the morning because it has been over a 100 degrees by 11am most days with highs of 105-110 or more. Actually gonna try the bike with no shield for more airflow and hopefully less buffeting
Extremely well done video. Checks all the boxes. Exact part number, gap, torque, blowing out debris before removing plug, change interval as well as time (per manual) and even where to get the manual. Camera also mounted to avoid shaking and had good sound and lighting. Very professional.
Thank you . I am glad you enjoyed. It took me a while to film with tripod in my way and looking at the little lcd screen lol. For some this is needed as simple doesn't always appear to be very simple. Ride safe.
It was a nice route. If other side is harder hehe maybe I'll have to try thay sometime . Still the side I did had some incline n decline curves .. enjoyed it though. Also loved the pie I got at the 555 dinner
I’ve had both. The nexgrill grades are a little weak on the long run but they aren’t that different. Weber burners have a more even pattern, NexGrill has some cold spots but not terrible
Yes , do note I was there early in thr week (beginning 2 days of my 3) if I had stayed 5 days .. there were even more bikes hahaha. Lots of rides and lots of fun.
Awesome beautiful riding, and vlogging, and scenery, surprised you dont use GPS, doesnt the phone lose signal, I notice when im up North, cant use my phone much, all the very best brother.
No . It didn't loose signal at all. I really may need to either consider using my GPS again or consider a purchase. I know down in the GA/TN mountains ... forget it .. GPS is the way. I'm wanting to go back down there
Dont know if youve worked it out yet, but i recommend getting front fork wind deflectors to help with head buffeting. They helped me by 50 percent. Maybe more. Edit.. haha I didnt watch far enough into the video before my comment.
Haha .. I didn't ride or demo any of these new retro bikes they have now a days .. lol it was a good time up there . I had a lot of fun . I rode till I was sick lol. Kinda wish I stayed 2 more days . Next year
I was happy this site was decent . Yes a bit sketchy backing the bike into that spot though . Just had to take my time using the bikes weight to get in back there.
I had a couple charbroil grills, I got about 5 years out of them. I've had my weber Genesis II for 9 years now and all I had to do was replace the porcelain coated steel flavorizer bars that finally rusted out. I got stainless steel replacement ones. Cost me $55 and I'm back in business for another decade or so
I've been using this for decades, it's easy to spray on and rinse off with cold water right outa the hose. It works great, I use the s100 detailing wax spray afterword.
Where do you all get these headers from... I have a 2000 blast I need to replace the entire exhaust on but have no idea what size anything is or what kind of other bike kit might work... I like what you did with this one is there a header you can buy or did you have to make this your self?
im 3 months on savage 650.. shinko 777 .. not the hd- ... really good road tire- 15or 20 mph on 1 mile dirt road i live= skechy... great on pavement and smooth /sticky on sides were neeeded - i do like rip through the twistys.. it hugs like a fat woman ..mmm mmm .
