your channel got me into a concerning obsession with radios about 4 years ago, apart from being a fire alarm enthusiast. i now have 7550's and 3500s, was it worth the thousands of dollars? i dont think so. but its pretty cool stuff. thanks man
Hey man, I don't know if you still respond to comments, but I wanted to thank you. Your "System Test 5 (Finally)" video was the very first fire alarm video I ever watched. I remeber watching it when my grandma was babysitting us on my iPhone 5 back in 2018. It really kicked off my interest in the whole fire alarm topic. I just wanted to thank you for being the person who sparked this interest in me. 🙂
I found a website where give you or Generate the keys to add on the encryption.... i got my 7550 and 5550 with encryption , but just the Enhanced encryptions.
I'm not familiar with MOTOTurbo radios but If you're using a DPL or TPL Code. The scan mode might be set to ignore those and let anything come through. So just uncheck the strip DPL/TPL code if you want your encryption to still be there.
Hey man! Nice video! I have some motorola XPR3300 at my school district we use them in between offices and classes, and schools. I also have some motorola PR400s if you could do a demo/review.
Apparently the police alarm lettering is not real, but a sticker plastered on top of the pull station. According to one owner, the pull station itself has fire lettering once you peel it off.
Just an FYI dude that radio even know that it has that sound in unencrypted sound it’s still encrypted because it’s gotten military grade encryption, mainly in the radio so even know it’s making a regular sound unencrypted sound it’s still encrypted because it’s got military grade aes 256 bit encryption / encryption automatically in the radio/ installed in the radio it self not the sound it makes I just got my self a Motorola mototrbo xpr6380 boy oh boy do I like my new radio all brand new so yea :)
The red fire alarms were wired up separately than the blue and white ones. I pulled both pull stations at the same time, and my power sources are regular adapters.
I've contacted so many companies and people who own radios and I'm wondering does the cp100d MotoTRBO work out of the box and have the TPT tone default?
I’m not really sure to be honest. These radios already had the PTT tone when I got them used. You are able to disable it through software programming though. But some people like it, like myself.
Since I’m using a 9V adapter, the voltage is much too low to cause a shock. Even a 24V adapter is way too low to shock you. I would recommend wiring it with the power unplugged so if any wires touch that shouldn’t it won’t short out the device or the adapter. Other than that, it is very safe!
