Cool gun. You should check out the Straight-pull ARs that people use in the UK. They usually add an extension to the charging handle that allows them to cycle the action without changing their grip
Hey it says in your video description you got $400 on the setup. I have never heard of these so I looked it up. They are like $850 now. I can see it being worth $400 with the IR light too but for a grand you might as well save and get a used -14 tube. Where are they listed for u see $400? I’d buy one so a buddy could “play along”. Looks pretty legit.
I have thought about this whole primer / percussion cap unavailability. IMO, IT IS UNACEPTABLE! If you get hurt trying to make these things, get a lawyer and sue them (I think most of them come from Vista Outdoors) there is no reason these should not be redily available. After they start losing millions of $, then they might add a new building and add on.
Maybe your compression seal/cup is worn out, or the spring is sagged out, because in stock condition the Buck should reach 270fps. With the cobalt spring it will do a little over 350.
I replaced the factory main spring with a DIY spring made out of slightly larger diameter spring wire. My out of the box velocities weren't even close to the velocity stated on the box. With my DIY spring I originally was getting just a bit over 400 fps. After a few months of wearing in those 400-plus velocities started hoovering in the 385 to 390 range. I didn't mess with the boring out of the little tube. I didn't see the need to. Right now, I'm in the process f retrofitting my second Daisy RR with a gas spring. It should be a hoot to shoot.
I did the same thing to my little Buck. I found a stronger spring and installed it, simple as that. Over my chronograph it's now shooting around 350fps, give or a take a few fps. Not bad and now it's got some good power to it. Straight through both sides of a coke can at 10 yards. Accuracy is still great too. Adding a gas spring would be awesome, let us know how that goes!
Wonderful job! I have one of that revolvers and I'll give you my experience. I use bullets from a Lee mould .450"/200 g just as comes out of the mould. Is a flat base bullet for cap & balls, and I've got an amazing accuracy. I have a lathe but I use old Berdan brass which reform manually. Thanks and greetings from Argentina.
@@SimplestUsername ooooh. I never knew that. Was actually considering getting an 8.5" 300bkout from a friend but not sure about the noise difference... With subs, no can.... How loud? Is it worth the fuss just for that. Otherwise I don't need it
