In the days of Vaudeville the "tons of people walk out of the closet" gag was quite common, the way it was usually done is the cuckolded husband would say "come out of there, you!" and then the door, which was on the left or right side of the stage, would open, and all the people standing off stage would parade out. It was considered really quite hilarious in those days.
Cracks me up spiders are villains in cartoons despite them literally getting rid of pests that spread disease to us humans. I don't hate flies, but they are gross lol. I like spiders.
