Hello! Just starting out looking into starting a florist business. I want to get all the details in a row before fully jumping into it! I’m from a small town and plan on growing some of my own along with buying online, what would be some recommendation places?

Thanks💕 I’m a newbie in planting in general and I found your channel a few weeks ago, do you have a tutorial video or a recommendation for me about how can I plant and take care of (salvia) plant?
Okay, so for someone like myself who is a Pennsylvania resident, I am thinking of opening a shop. Basically, would you just purchase flowers in bulk then resell the flower arrangements?
Thank you! Your video was very informative and I found a wholesale flower distribution company that sells to OC, California! I am a new floral designer taking courses to get my certification.
Hello. I sell flowers for wholesalers in San Francisco CA. Are you guys interesting in flowers from colombia?. We have all licenses for export direc to USA. MANY TYHANKS.🎉
Hi Chelsea, thank you for your informative video! I have only recently struck and interest in doing flower arranging as a career. I am doing a 1 week Flower Arranging Course at the Judith blacklock flower school in February to get in depth knowledge and hands on experience. After I have done the course I will stil be forever learning. Is it a good idea to build a portfolio of my work and set up a media page and over time go from there in making it into a business?
Hello! Love your video! I have a question. Aside from changing the water, cutting the stems and cleaning out the dead leaves, what more could I do to make my flowers last longer once they are in a vase? Is there a specific mixture or vitamins that could help them last even longer? Thank you in advance!
You can use a flower food, purchased from a floral supplier or florist. But you can also just make sure you are using a clean vase, clean water, and clean tools. Flower food is not necessary. Additionally, keeping flowers away from heaters and bright sun will prolong their life. I hope that helps!
Hi mam!! glad i found ur video iam a horticulture student currently studying 3rd yr in India. Mam I want to do a startup in floral bussiness but donno how to nd where to start could u pls help me out

We have a lot of wholesale flowers, but I would love to buy directly from a farmer I tried googling but it seems like there are none in the southern Mississippi region. How do you find farmers?
I absolutely love this sweet little arrangement and the little jar-it makes my heart sing! Just about every time I go out in my garden I end up cutting flowers/herbs/greenery and making little arrangements-I can’t help myself! It brings me so much joy.☺️💖Thank you for this lovely video.
I don’t think you know what a wholesale florist is! A flower shop can’t be a wholesaler. A wholesaler sales to florist. You video makes no sense! I believe you are trying to tell people how to sign up a flower shop business to shop at flower wholesalers, NOT TO BECOME A FLORAL WHOLESALER!
I worked 2 years at a flower shop during college. I was only getting $0.50 an hour and worked 35 hours a week. I learned so much but they never wanted to give me a raise so I left. I worked at flower shops during holidays. After graduating from college I was an educator I still had a side flower business-did friends weddings, sold items during holiday. I still love creating with flowers.
Thanks for sharing! That does not sound like a good place to work. I am glad that you started your own side business and I am happy that you are still creating with flowers!
Hello, I've been trying to look up this question elsewhere but I've been unable to find it. I'm just starting out my florist journey on a small scale and I had planned on sometimes buying single stems from my local florist shop and incorporating them in the arrangements I do. A part of me feels wrong doing this and I haven't seen anyone else mention doing it. Is it okay to buy single stems from other florists in my area and use them in the arrangements I sell for small events?? Or is this frowned upon? Lol Thank you in advance and congrats on your success❣️
Hello Erin! That's a great question! It's not a problem to do that once in a while. You don't want to source all of your flowers from another retailer or you'd never make.a profit and that would be frowned upon. Typically you should be buying your flowers in bulk or directly from the farmer but many floral designers have to buy "emergency stems" from time to time for weddings or other situations. I hope that helps!
Hello! Google Floral Wholesaler and your city to find one near you. The minimal spent will vary with each particular wholesaler. Each florist has their own packing techniques and it will depend on the car. I typically try to keep my flowers on the floor of the card, in a box stuffed with paper around the corners. For large events I use, long florist boxes, again with paper, and for large events use a van. Best of luck!! Thanks for watching!
Take classes! Start making one arrangement a week, taking photos of it, and posting them on Instagram Start doing events for friends and getting pictures! Set up a flower workspace in your house! I hope that helps:)
