@@zacharym02 Thank You 🙏 I am definitely looking forward to new wheels and tires as well!!! I will try to get some asap, definitely before I get back on track with the M3P again 🙌🙌
@@TopElement The GT3 was flying!!! Good call out. This was my first time at Laguna & was learning the track, the next time out I won’t lift!!! 🙏🏎️🏁 LET’S GET IT!!
Great stuff! I am preparing my manual G80 M3 for the season next year. How are the EBC blues holding up? I am considering going for the RSL29 Endurance pads but they are quite a pretty penny. Also how did you get your gopro angle on the inside? I'd like to do that instead of on my helmet since I can do without the extra weight hanging down on my forehead lol. Thanks! - Ryan
@@ryanferoz4453 Hi Ryan, I just switched from stock and I felt like the EBC Blue Stuff was a good upgrade. They held up well at Laguna. I am happy with them. The next set I will try out are the RSL29. For the go pro, I use the Lapole and it’s sturdy for me. I like it a lot better then the mount on the helmet a.co/d/fWgtVT8 let me know if you have any other questions 🙌🏎️🏁
@@rafaeldelrey9239 thanks Rafael I appreciate you!!! The goal is to hit a 1:29 the next time out there with the M3 I’ll be racing Big Willow this Sunday in the Tesla Model 3 Performance and I’m hoping I can put down a 1:34 or better, we’ll seeeeee 🙏🏁🏎️
Any plans on taking the Tesla here to compare the two? I feel like you can make it a track demon with a couple thousand in aftermarket parts from Unplugged Performance
Just reached the very end of the video. I can’t wait until you take it out! I high recommend looking into different brake lines/fluid/pads at Unplugged Performance before you take it out, and possibly sway bars/control arms after you get a feel for how it tracks. Good luck bro!
@@josephquinto5812 Hi Joseph, I definitely want to take the Model 3 here sometime soon. I got brake pads, brake fluid & brake lines for the model 3 & hoping they make a decent difference. I am racing at Big Willow this Sunday to test it out. If I am happy with the results I will buy some track wheels and tires and make my way out to Laguna Seca with the model 3 🙌🏎️🏁 I will definitely post the results 🙏👊

@@rafaeldelrey9239 hi Rafael, yes sir, that’s post edit. I use this Insta 360 X3 which is a 360 camera and post edit when exporting you can choose any view you like. It works perfectly for drag racing so you can pan out the view when you are pulling away from the opponent
@@zacharym02 it was an absolute blast bro!!!! The only section it fully kicked in was the corkscrew. It was my first time at Laguna so I had it on since I had a long drive home and didn’t want any issues. It was a perfect track day 🙌🏎️🏁
@@G82Watts agreed and if you have to drive it home then I’d do the same it’s just clearly holding him back from better lap times. None of this stuff on my dedicated track car but that’s the luxury of not having to drive it home. Free to loop it or worse anytime I want but the car isn’t holding me back from finding my limits and better lap times which is the goal…for me anyway. Looks like a wildly fun day!
So all these people acting like their cars are stock running 10.8s are really lying in some form. Thanks for the honesty. Btw that m3 was gone. He had his transmission in S and not d3 😂😂 rookie mistake
@@G82Watts I was spinning alot during the launch. At my local drag strip the track is a lot more prepped and I don’t spin at all. Definitely will be in low 10s with a better prepped track. Some of these model 3s dropping into 10.6 now it’s wild. & I think the M3 was not at temp yet while trying to engage launch control so it did not auto shift for him. That would have been a fun race too!!! One day I’ll take the M3 and M3P out here to Vegas and race both against each other 👍
@@DezDrivendude 10.6s are completely gutted. Lmao. U know what it takes to even get .1 of a better time? U might get 10.96 or some but these other people aren't stock and acting like they are. All tesla cult fans care about is quarter mile times and without them looking good they get mad.
You would have gotten trounced by the M3 comp xdrive if the moron didn’t have the transmission in “S”. Your 60 ft time is bad. I can pull sub 1.6 on the street in my m3 comp xdrive let alone drag strip. That just solidifies which car is truly faster.
You should be able to hit 10.8s stock ... seen best of 10.65 & 10.56 (funny inverting the last two numbers different vids lol) with passenger & rear seats removed and 18" wheels squared.
@@Nightshifter777 the track prep at Irwindale is really good so it hooks right off the launch. I took it 1/4 mile in Vegas for midnight mayhem and it spun a lot during launch. I was only able to pull off 11.1 but I’ll be back at 1/4 mile to secure that 10.9 🏎️🏁👊
M8 didn't trans didn't auto change LOL That's why EV is better, no issues just runs all day and you can go home without worrying about things that could of broke haha
You are a little ignorant on this topic. The m3 driver had the transmission in S mode vs D mode. It’s a simple mistake by the driver, not the cars fault. EV’s aren’t faultless. What’s the state of charge. What temperature are the batteries? Less driving skill required, sure.
People are so ignorant . A m8 comp can run 10.8s .. u can also tell that the m3 was going to slaughter the tesla with how it came off the line but he didn't have it in the correct launch mode. The real story here is all the people acting like their teslas are stock when in reality this guys is stock and it's running no where close to the 10.7s that other tesla people claim. Clearly their cars aren't stock at all and they removed seats and used lighter wheels and act like they aren't doing it.
@@G82Watts100%, if you look at the 60 ft and 0-60 times in the Tesla, they’re actually pretty pathetic compared to our cars and the mph 123 tells the true story. These sub 10.9 second m3p’s are manipulated runs, just as you said. Anyone can remove the seats and put on lighter wheels with gripper tires.
Looking at the Dragy leaderboard results, the US M3P should have the edge in the 1/4 as well. Just make sure you have a good charge and warm battery for optimal performance.
I thought Tesla upgraded the brakes on the new model 3p? It’s still a problem? 😭 that car needs better aero for the brakes badly. Tesla keeps slapping huge hp numbers on there cars but not focusing anything on brake performance. Ioniq 5n has nearly the same brake rotor size with more weight, and it doesn’t even overheat, Tesla brakes can be fine I believe stock, if it had better cooling along it
No ur just seeing tesla cult fans lying and putting on lighter rims or removing seats or going downhill for their runs then acting like it's stock. If it's truly stock it's doing no better than 10.9 ..
@@ranyshawket9253 Same here, a lot of wheel spin during launch at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Next time I am back here I am going to try to have full battery and arrive at 96% SOC and maybe better tires 🛞
@@ranyshawket9253 I think you will be happy with the upgrade. All the updates they made to the 2024 are great. Seats, adaptive suspension, facelift… 👍👍👍
Surprised you were only pulling 3.2 second 0-60 times on such a high SOC I’ve seen some videos of 2.9’s (2.7 with rollout) on only 60-65% SOC And DA doesn’t affect EV like it does ICE
@@georgedavidov5250 same here George, I noticed a big difference in track prep from Las Vegas Motor Speedway Vs Irwindale Speedway which is my local track. At irwindale it puts down 0-60 in 3.0 seconds and 1.6 60ft… in Vegas it puts down 3.2 0-60 and 1.8 60ft. I left tire pressure about 40 PSI. Next time I am out there I will have my track wheels and tires and it should help with the launch 🚀
It's called. Lying. Their cars aren't stock. If watched countless of videos from car channels and the best they get is 2.95s .. these owners are switching out their rims, going downhill, taking out seats,etc..
@@Pat_Singh The track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway isn’t really prepared. All 4 wheels spin pretty bad during launch 🚀 but still able to put down some decent times. 🙌
I can't BELIEVE people hate on these cars. You can take literally EVERY SINGLE GAP on the freeway with BREEZE and without a single effort, not to mention that the handling with stock everything is still INSANELY fun to throw it in corners, imagine what it can do with some upgrades.. What a beast of a car for it's price! 🔥🔥🔥

The 1.63 sixty feet time on the BMW is impressive. This is not far off from what my S Plaid will run on the street. As for the Tesla, I am impressed by how the 2023 pulls hard at higher speeds and walked the BMW. Great video.
@@mpow1404 Thank you, I was definitely happy with the launch of the BMW the X-Drive makes a huge difference. It’s cool to see the Model 3 still pulling on me.
