Thanks for the video, helped a lot. Have been selling seriously on eBay for a little more than a year now and have no categories. I have about 800 items listed. Is there a way to bulk categorize for my items, or do I have to do that process one at a time for all 800 listings?
Unfortunately, there are no ways to bulk edit categories. You Have to create the categories once you do that then you change each listing into that category. I know that’s a bummer sorry.
if im from South America and my zip code have 6 numbers, but eBay just need 5 what can I do? i don't know what do because is my zip code for sell and ofc I can't go to another country for send it

So would you say usps ground advantage is the least expensive for poster tubes? I’m going to be selling a lot of mint condition prints that have never been rolled and I’m trying to figure out the best way to ship them. I’ve been selling on eBay for almost 20 years but I rarely dealt with mailing tubes. I do remember when I did, there was actually a shipping option for mailing tubes when making my listing. I don’t see that any longer. Any help would be appreciated.
The USPS Media Mail service is meant to promote the shipment of educational materials including books, posters, documents, loose-leaf pages, medical information for doctors, hospitals, and medical students, textbooks, printed music and printed educational reference charts, play scripts, printed objective test materials
I think left and right photos in your case is due to the aspect ratio of your photo. Right now i see that is square. If you upload a rectangle one 16:9 aspect ration you will have the full box covered. I don't pay gallery plus and my all photos are covering the all box. Gallery plus is most probably about something else.
I had my listing for a conch shell removed also. I don’t have any problem with this except why are others still listed on eBay? Why don’t they do this across the platform? It doesn’t make sense to me ?
@@talkingebay lmao! So eBay doesn’t have the technology to remove all the listings in one fell swoop? 🙄 Just for funsies I’m going to search for them every few weeks or so. I can almost guarantee they’ll always be on the platform. Thanks for the reply 😊

Hi 👋 I'm new here & I will say a big problem is people are taking these shells and then the creatures dont have homes. We are literally removing their homes. Same with all the trees that get chopped down etc. I watched a video & it was so sad showing these sea creatures living in trash that should have been recycled. Those little clear caps that cover spritz products, bottle caps, pieces of melted plastic. It was so sad & also on that video was how it damages the animals shells when we paint them. Take a turtle for instance, painting its shell prevents it from absorbing sunlight and can cause disfigurement or even death.
If you haven't sold it and have no idea where it's going, why bother using the calculator?? Shipping 100 miles is going to be far less than shippjng 2500 miles. Are you putting in random zip code very far away to give u an idea and you use that number in your listing???
In theory, you might think you’re right. But most people lose money when trying to figure out the shipping cost. If you don’t think about it ahead of time, you will lose money this way it’ll give you an idea. Especially if you’re trying to do fixed shipping. Not calculated, I’ve been using this method for years and had no issues at all. Like you said you don’t know if it’s 100 miles or 2500 miles the point is you don’t know this way you will know.
Nice information. Thanks. I usually ship long items through UPS - posters, golf clubs, etc. They are the cheapest for long items. USPS charges extra for long items. However, recently I shipped a poster, like have many times through UPS, and a week later, I got an additional $13 charge. I know my weight and measurements were correct because its basically the same for every poster. Have you experienced this with UPS or USPS?
Yes it has happened to me a couple of times. And I called on it as well. That’s why I always go over an inch that way there’s no issues, the machines are not perfect and sometimes they miss read the size then you get charged additional fees.
Thanks for the great tip using solder wire. I would never have thought to use that. So much simpler than twist ties. I'm getting ready to ship a cuckoo clock from NH back to California to family after doing a full restoration on it. I'm glad you posted this. Unless you want the recipient to deal with restringing the chains, this is super important as well as bagging the excess chain to prevent tangling. Thanks again for the wire tip!
You know you’re right. I will make a new video updating how to add video to Ebay. But the main premise is you have to put the video on your computer first and then add it to eBay.
Thank you so so much. I was about ready to throw the new phone and computer in the trash bin. I could not get them from my phone to the computer. This is so much easier and it works! I have a new lease on life.
I watched a million (not really) you tube videos on downloading photos and everyone said to download your photos onto your computer, which was nearly impossible and will take much more time than using my phone. THANK you for making it so much clearer and easier.
I’m trying to use the eBay shipping calculator and the banner doesn’t show up and allow me to offer the shipping prices I choose and apply. What am I doing wrong
@@talkingebay no, it’s the banner to the right under your shipping choice that says offer shipping options, but mine says close. So even though I’ve selected the shipping option, it doesn’t reflect when I go back to send the customer an invoice it just says zero dollars for shipping so it clearly did not apply the options I chose. Hopefully this makes sense.
when you first start listing on e-bay do they only let you post so much ? mine says I reached my limit I only have 18 items listed . I just started it says I only have a few more dollars left to post. maybe I have to become a store?
What Are eBay Selling Limits For 2024? New sellers can list (or sell) up to 10 items with up to $500 in sales each month. Higher limits are subject to eBay's evaluation of a seller's account. Stay tuned. Well we’ll make a video on this. Thank you for this very important question.
Great channel! Very informative and is helping me with my eBay store. I was hearing from other people on youtube that eBay gives some sellers about $25 a month or so for eBay branded supplies. I saw your video about USPS supplies, do you have one for eBay branded supplies as well?
Thank you so much for watching my channel. It means a lot to me. Great question on Ebay supplies I will definitely make a video on this but just for your information, there’s a basic store which offers no supplies there’s a middle store that gives you a $25 credit every month towards supplies and then there’s another store level that offers $50 of supplies every month. So if you have the basic basic store there is no credit for supplies. Stay tuned I’m gonna make a video on this to be clear and give you more details. Again, thank you for your question. Happy new year and happy Ebay selling
l have a good question (l think)... how would you handle the following : l have a lot of autographed photos of moviestars l would like to put up for sale, but l'm conflicted on how to pack them. Should l roll them up and use a triangular box (like for posters) or should l put them in a well protected frame and send them in a padded envelop or box? l'm a bit scared of rolling them up since paper has a "memory", but if l put them in a box the weight is higher, so the cost of shipping is as well, especially if you ship them overseas (l have a lot of followers on FB and a decent amount of subs on YT, 95% of them is US based, so selling them to the US is likely..) l live in Belgium btw, greetings and Happy New Year.
First of all thank you very much for listening to my podcast. It means a lot to me. As far as shipping photos, I would definitely not roll them up. That would be a bad idea. I would ship them flat between two pieces of cardboard and maybe even in a small box Get all your weights and dimensions and figure out your shipping costs. Sellers will be appreciative that you took care and shipping their items. Remember, most people who purchased collectibles such as photos or even autographs will pay a premium for proper shipping so do not be afraid to charge. Again, thank you for listening to my podcast. Stay tuned for more information. Happy new year.
Always love your podcasts. Lots of good information that I am trying to remember. Looking forward to starting to sell in the next couple of months. In the process of organizing family issues that could get in the way of me proceeding. Thank you for doing these. You are 1 in only a handful that I really like.
Very true ground advantage has been killing it on the rates so far so good. But they are having a price increase in the next month or so so stay tuned for the update.
My tech level is toaster, you explained this so it is easy to follow along. THANK YOU, now I can stop going through a cable and sending every photo on the phone just to move a few.
