Personally the dbrand one is better so I’m glad to wait for that but this is definitely a good alternative if u don’t wanna spend the money / wait for the dbrand one
Great vid. I would love to see the comparison of killswitch and this. I’m wondering if the added weight, if it’s gonna be a little more uncomfy. Im kinda getting interested in this jsaux case.
If you have the 223 to 2280 rog Ally nvme adapter just get the Samsung 990 pro with the heatsink built in and it will fit with a stock backplate. If you don’t have the 2280 adapter they don’t make any 4tb 2230 drives yet which is the stock form factor size for the og Ally. The new Ally x uses 2280 size by default which I love. Lastly if you go with a 2tb 2230 try going with the Corsair model because it’s a good value and reliable drive. I still would get a heat sink for it as all fast nvme drives run spicy. So, I accidentally popped off that little silver part at 4:20 that holds the battery cable in....Tried my best to put it back but had no luck. Should I be worried if it's not there?? 😭
Oof. Yeah I mean you could technically run it without it but the battery connector may pop off. Not suggesting hot glue but also suggesting hot glue lol jk plz don’t use that advice as it could melt the connector but at thr same Time could also work. 😂 Really tho jump by the handheldmodz discord and post a video and lemme see if me or the bros and come up with something
@@cppctek Dang, yea I just used more force than necessary, and it just popped fully out. Nothing is broken but I just don't have the space to try reattaching it unless I remove the actual battery than I'll probably be able to pop it back in. Thanks for responding really quick tho!

2025 we will see the z2 apu. You won’t see dedicated graphics in a handheld likely for a long long time if ever. Apus are the most efficient for both battery and performance per watt and cost of manufacturing is better. If we got a dedicated gpu in a handheld the cost would be very prohibitive to most people. The z1 extreme apu in the ally x and legion go are the same but the ally x takes more advantage of the apu by having more ram /vram and better power profiles too.

They all are insanely heavy these days. This comes from a person who’s owned every brand and most cards out there. Unfortunately with how much power cards consume they wanna make sure they can cool properly
Hey bro i don't know if everyone have this problem or not but i have a problem when i want to max my volume on the OG Ally but it's like it doesn't want to make it louder it will go loud one sec and then it goes silent.
I have not had that issue, you might could try re installing the drivers for the audio. If it still gives an issue make a post on reddit or discord showing a video or pic and ill see if we can help

Do the RT and LT Triggers work properly with this case? I tried two different ROG Ally X (2024) cases with kickstand from other brands on Amazon (sadly, neither JSAUX nor Dbrand was available) which both blocked the triggers from being pressed completely (the cutouts looked like they were created with the ROG Ally (2023) triggers in mind).
PERSONALLY, I would love to play my Ally X connected to a charger AND my portable monitor or XR glasses with this case on WITH the front cover on too… to protect from scratches or accidental bumps when getting up… but it seems as if the front cover only gives you access to ONE of the two USB C ports on the X? That’s a bummer man 😩
Wow. I never thought about running the front plate on while in use. I’d imagine it might impact temps in a bad way. The front plates are meant for storage not gaming.
@@cppctek wait a phat minute… I just realized the front plate does not have any cutouts at all for the ventilation of the exhaust openings 🤦🏼♂️😂 I’ve clearly never had one myself 😂 damn… good idea though! They should make one with openings for the exhaust vents! 👀
@airtroop28 I guess the solution would be you could drill out a hole 🕳️ for the second usb and vents but I think the amount of people who would use it with the front cover on and really slim because it blocks all the buttons too. Also think about it like this. The front cover is ment to make it a case and if you’re throwing it in a backpack you want to keep dust and debris and objects out of the ports and vents. That’s one of the huge selling points of a case is keeping dust and debris out of a device and protecting the screen and joysticks.
@@cppctek this was clearly a shower thought of mine that wasn’t thought out too well before saying it out loud 😂 you’ve got mad points here my man… thank you for helping me better understand the use case for that front plate and why they only drilled out one 🕳️ for the charger 😌 you the man 🙏🏼 didn’t even think of debris or dust getting in the ports… and the buttons being blocked wouldn’t be an issue in my case due to using a Bluetooth controller or docking station but I overlooked the fact it’s supposed to PROTECT said ports when in storage 🤦🏼♂️

@@cppctek I’m not saying you’d be using it per se. Just the fact that if it was left on or somehow turned on it would have no way to vent properly. But I guess even my previous killswitch didn’t have vents either so maybe it’s a moot point.
@@humtek4820 yeah there is just no reason to have vents on the front cover since its designed to protect the device while in storage in a bag so stuff does not hit the screen or fall into the vents like dust and debris. It would defeat the primary use for 99% of people.
None of the vents are obstructed at all what so ever. It doesn’t impact temps in my testing to any noticeable difference. Do you own one ? How can you say keep all the heat inside if you don’t own one and haven’t tested it? Just curious where you got your data from ? I’ve had several cases like this and never had one line up this good so there’s no obstruction. The only way it would keep heat inside is if you obstructed the vents you know right ?
So, idk how much I like ordering directly from Jsaux, as it says it takes 7-12 days, and they charge a restocking fee if you want to return, plus you have to pay for shipping it back, but right now it doesn't appear to be available on Amazon, and I found a coupon, Jsaux15, for 15% off which probably makes it worth it, especially for the case only, it came to $25.50. Also, it asks if I want to add a tip at check out, lol. I know, saying that tipping culture has gotten out of control is kind of a meme these days, but really? I have stupid question do i need to buy anything with the 100w ugreen charger ? I mean the head that charges it or the head that i plug it not on my device
You’ll need a usb c to c cable that can do at least 100w charging. Dont get over 4 foot unless you go with a super beefy 240w cable to ensure it has enough ability to transfer the power that far. I’ve got several 5 foot cables that won’t let me run the full 65w needed to get the turbo mode working so I now mostly have 3-4 foot cables and the one 5 foot cable I use can do up to 240w and it works great on the turbo modes.
I reached out to skull n co last night, lets see what they say :) I would love to review them and compare since so many folks have been asking me about them.
I really hope you like the killswitch, its a bit too much for me to justify cost wise without having one in hand. Based on what I see, im super happy with this one for the money.

In his discord, he said right now, since the cooling was done better on the X this time around, he doesn’t see a reason to make one for the X… I told him he should anyway and I’d still buy it!
