This channel delves into the obscure, strange and fascinating histories of the Warhammer Universe. We strive to uncover and explore the rarely discussed and little-known histories. This channel also showcases art and miniatures.
Thank you for the feedback. Please check out my newer videos as I have changed quite a bit from this video. I am hoping you enjoy those videos more. Thank you 🙏 ✌️
Actually I went to a hobby shop that had some used 40k miniatures that were pretty wrecked for sale. It was the old Necron Destroyers and they came with these cool clear bases. I just switched the bases out depending on the miniature that I am using. Idk if they are GW bases or just something you can get on Amazon.
Well I think it meant that these were humans that had colonized the region previously 1k 5k 10k and were now the main dominant species in that region of planets. Remember that during the Great Crusade, the Emperor found 100s if not 1000s of human worlds that had lost touch with Holy Terra. The Nephilim subjugated the human population and the human’s own world, living in a coexistence for a time until they were completely exhausted and fed upon.
Yes he did but Heldane was a Puritan at that time and was super inflexible while Eisenhorn was also branded a Radical then cleared and the. A Radical again. I believe that Eisenhorn was always outside of the favoritism circle in the Inquisition while Heldane was always in the inner circles for some reason.
Thank you for checking out the vid! That’s what I’m trying to do, make more lore videos about little known subjects around the 40k universe. Thanks again!
@@yoonoartstudio just use your own voice, even if you are worried that you don't have the voice for narration. It doesn't matter what your voice sounds like it will be a hundred times less grating on your listeners' ears. Scientific fact AI voices sound like shit and everyone hates them
Good video, I liked and subscribed. I think that the quality of your video is comparable to other more established channels. But, that is the problem; you are competing against all those other guys as well. I agree that perhaps focusing on the more obscure stories of 40k is a good way to stand out from the pack. I wish you luck and look forward to your future videos.
Thanks for subscribing! I agree, there is massive competition out there, but I have to look at it as I am just making these videos for the love of Warhammer. I may never be as big as the giants in the RU-vid space, but I’m at least getting to share some of the lore that I really enjoy. Again, thank you for the feedback and thank you for subscribing!
I really wish GW would flesh out the lore and give up hard data on new xenos like this instead of "female custodes that have always been there". Give me the Rangdan xenocides, the pale wasting and the missing primarchs.
@@yoonoartstudio Yah! them too, instead we get DEI politics....Yay! Can wait to be called a toxic -ista -phobe fan for saying I dont like the direction they are going!
I think there is room for everything, but I really just want some more hard edge science fiction pushed into more of the 40k lore and universe. More stuff in Halo Stars, Ghoul Stars, Koronus Expanse, maybe new areas opening up from the Great Rift. Forgotten xenos, daemon worlds etc…I think there can be some new informational lore on different areas and xenos.
For all chaos is thought to be eldritch, chaos is merely the base and animal natures of mortal kind given agency and supernatural power. The Ghoul Stars and similar things are so much more eldritch, perhaps BECAUSE of their obscurity. I at once wish we saw more of these things, and yet dread that familiarity would demystify it's horrors.
There is just so much over looked, forgotten and absolutely frightening lore in the Warhammer universe. The Halo stars, the Ghoul Stars, strange xenos races of unknown origin. I just find this type of lore so much more interesting as it opens up new modalities of thought. I mean, the Tyranids just passing through the Ghoul Stars absolutely wrecked the Hive Fleet.
The Ghoul stars, the farther one travels from Holy Terra and the closer one gets to the galactic rim the more strange, weird, and bizarre things become. This is an area ripe for imaginative adventure, the far flung wilds where the astronomican is but a faint flicker. This is the path that few travel, and even fewer return from, except for the brave Rouge Trader and minor military incursions, the scant handful who do return tell fabulous stories of great riches, lost technologies, strange races and mind-shattering horrors. Who knows what's all out there? That's what I would like to know. Cool video,ty!
Just wild space all around the Milky Way is just nuts in 40k. So much forgotten and strange things still live out there waiting for contact. In this case Necrons and Tyranids are the least of our worries. Thank you for enjoying the content! I mean there are just absolutely bizarre things in the known systems of Imperial Space, but the Halo Stars are just pure nightmare fuel.
On the other hand... maybe the galactic rims end is the "Source Wall," like in DC comics, the wall that separates universes to prevent other universes like Star Wars,Star Trek,Babylon 5,etc...from crossing over or intermingling with the WH40K universe and to protects its Quantum Narative? I'm a big fan of WH40K crossover fanfiction.
Once you leave the Milky Way galaxy in 40k, anything is possible. If I had to pick a cross over, I would probably choose Star Wars Extended Universe with the Yuuzhan Vong. That was super dark and gritty, even for Star Wars.
I'm looking forward to seeing how you develop this channel,as you show talent & exceptional promise by creating topics that haven't been beaten to death yet.
Thank you so much 🙏. I’m really trying to research more obscure topics. Thank you again for checking out the content and more to come. I hope it does not disappoint.
Nice vid,Thx! We'll Subscribe to offbeat esoteric stories like this; unknown cosmic horrors of Wild Space etc.Bc the overdone "Fall of Cadia"-type vid's played tf out
I agree, the "Fall of Cadia" regardless of how interesting and lore important has been played da fuk out. It's cool to see fresh (at least from my perspective) content about fringe elements of the lore, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more.
Hey mate, just wanted to say this is absolutely amazing!! Can I just ask what is ur process for the metallic areas? Is it like a dark grey undercoat with splotches of silver on top?
Thank you for checking out the work. Usually I start with a chaos black undercoat, then a base coat of bg metal, a wash of black, dry brush bg metal, then highlight mith silver on the edges. I mean you can use any color really that can act the same way as the GW paint sets if you don’t have those specific colors. Experiment with washes and highlights to really get those grudge effects. Now if you want to get the rust, that is additional scorched browns, oranges and some yellows all mixed with rust and brown washes. The final step would be to add a dry brush of dark to light brown lightly around the bottoms to get a dirt effect. I hope this made sense. I have more models on my twitter if you want to check that out. I’ll try to do a metal tutorial soon if that will help.
@@yoonoartstudio awesome! thanks for the response, I have a backlog of bad moonz vehicles to paint :D I think your aesthetic choice is perfect here. If you do decide pop out a video on metals Ill definitely be checking it out
lol. I paint my entire Ork army Bad Moonz as I find that an easy and pleasing color to paint. I even paint some of my Nurgle CSM a yellow armor color. Idk why but yellow seems to hit so well sometimes on the figures.
True I thought of that as well or they would have called them something similar to like insect xenos, but what if it was a glimpse into the Outsider’s Dyson Sphere? Or what if it was a chaos rift into another time like with Inquisitor Ravenor when he was forced to fight Tyranids, but they had no idea what they were in that time period of 40k. Just theories I guess.
@@yoonoartstudio Im kinda tired of how 40K works in the regards. How about instead or wasteful retcons like "female custodes", how about fill out the lore? What was the harrowing, who were the missing primarchs, the rangdan xenocides and on and on.
I 100% agree about the lore as there is such a rich past in the different writings over the decades that is being forgotten. I’m trying to find what traces I can and make some guesses, but I think it would be cool to really open up some literature into these forgotten conflicts, terrifying / extinct xenos species… etc. You get some insight in the Horus Heresy books, but it is minor.
Yep. Where we maybe saw an Enslaver, Space Skaven, Lord of Skulls etc…. 4 Years ago. I’m still waiting for the new Fungus based army to be released, but we got the Squats instead. 😂
I’m guessing that the Warp is infinite so it probably could keep filling up, but that much Ork Waaagh energy building up will probably eventually create a new Ork Warp god or manifest more strength to Mork and Gork. Especially because Tuska brought in a large amount of Weirdboyz, that is a huge amount of Waaagh energy floating around.
Fun fact: That 'vulnerable spot' is the daemon prince's balls. Or well, it was in the daemon prince's crotch. I wouldn't say daemon princes have balls, though its a funny thought anyways.
Fun fact: "Tuska" means "pain" or "agony" in the Finnish language. There is even a metal music festival in Finland called "Tuska festival". Plenty of good natured orkyness goes on there each June, with plenty of daemonic symbolism to boot.
That’s really awesome. Thank you for sharing! Does Ork have a translation in Finnish? I know it’s kind of a made up word lol. Metal music and Orkz go hand in hand.
@@yoonoartstudio Orc is "örkki" in Finnish, pronounced phonetically /ˈørkːi/ - a word created from "orc" when the LotR was first translated into Finnish. Haven't seen any actual Goff rockers at Tuska festival (yet...) but many acts have definitely had the same vibe ;)
Another fun fact: said festival is famous for having the highest level of alcohol consumption per festival goer, but the least bad behaviour/violence/harassment/etc. of all the festivals in the country (zero police calls last year). Only the positive sides of orky behaviour, especially in the mosh pits, where people can let loose their inner boyz... ;)
Here is the painting layout I made for this mini. It is more of a labeling of what colors I used. Hope this helps. You can really use any paint brand as long as the colors are similar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9pMqFVuuGpo.html
They fire them at fortresses in droppods. This thing is a rage monster that slays almost everything it comes into contact with. It's kept in a stasis Chambers so that it does not destroy whatever ship is being caged on. There is nothing subtle or stealthy about this murder machine
Well. I do agree with you, but I think it might use stealth to get into position before the carnage begins in some cases. Ultimately it needs to stay alive long enough to reach its target at the very least to give them a chemical meltdown hug.
A most disturbing and excellent video bringing forth the mind numbing sanity shredding horror of WARHAMMER 40,000 where there is only death and carnage. Brings to mind the dread of watching a GREYLOCK FILES video. Thank you for this masterfully presented and read work. Happy gaming! ☕
And that has gotta be tough going after an Ork cause even a killshot might not do the job, especially if Orkimedes had a Kustom Force Field, additional Cybernetics or can just regrow a missing body part.
@@yoonoartstudio thank you for the welcome! I’m a little late to the 40k universe, so these tidbits are huge to assist me in getting splashes of knowledge whilst taking work breaks or coffee breaks at home! But before I ramble on and on, thank you again and please keep up the phenomenal work!😇
Yeah it’s putting people off, idk there’s just something about fake speech generated voice that just screams “This is a crap video” no matter how good the video actually is, there’s just a certain vibe to it that seems.. idk.. lazy? Eventhough I know for a fact majority of the time it’s the opposite, I guess it’s a “first impression” kind of psychological thing
Yep. I have been working on it. Thank you for the input. I love making these lore videos and it isn’t always the easiest. I will keep trying to improve on future productions.
Currently I am split between synthpunk Necron Destroyers and synthpunk Tyranid Broodlord. I have been trying to use synthpunk in the models but has been somewhat difficult.
...this is probably one of the most uncomfortably disgusting minis I've seen to date. You went for 800 pound fat person with bed sores standing for the first time in 5 years. Granpa Nurgle would be proud!
Thank you for subscribing! There are a lot of great lore channels out there and I thank you for making my channel one of your many choices. More content to come.
I think it should be slowed down a tiny bit! Maybe a more bass heavy, smoother voice?? Not necessarily male, but you can hear the pitch fly up in the voice, almost like a tiny voice crack sometimes
