I agree with your comment of OM needing to push a body north of 40 MP, sort of like the Canon R5 at 45. I have the original OM-1, and way too many lenses (just not the 150-400mm, yet) and have even sold sports edit banners printer 24x36. But having the additional pixels for cropping would be amazing. I have just started acting school and i have bought multiple cameras and i saw the a7r5 for a cheap price, but have the zve1,fx3,fx30,a74,6700,a7c2 and r and for some reason i still want the a7r5 i was going to trade 2 for one what would you suggest, it would mean alot to me if u respond sir, im new to acting and filming and i have a disability from a home invasion i was shot from neck down, i have open woulds and im trying to film myself without asking for help i really would appreciate your honest opinion..advice on what i should do have a great day and thanks for the video

The SEL15F14G, with its f/1.4 aperture, is great for low-light situations and capturing more detail in the night sky, which is ideal for aurora shots. On the other hand, the SEL11F18, with its ultra-wide 11mm focal length, lets you capture a much broader field of view, which is perfect if you want those expansive, dramatic sky images. It really depends on whether you prioritize capturing as much of the sky as possible or getting sharper, more detailed stars and aurora. @@Settoautofocus Hi thanks for your reply! I'm primarily getting one for my very old a5100 body prior to a northern Europe trip around new years. I'd like to capture some nice Aurora images and videos. The reason I also mention Astro is because afterwards it'd likely be the main function of this lens as there would never be Aurora in my home country. But my priority would be the aurora shots as I really don't invest too much time on any sort of serious photography. Thanks again.

Great video bro. I was going to buy an expensive gimbal. I brought the mt2. I brought the handle after watching this video. Bro, I never looked back, my gimbal out performs all the gimbals I see others using when I shoot with other videographers, expecially at wedding shoots. Doods always ask if they can try my mt2 and use it. If u r looking for a gimbal and want to save some money, buy the hohem mt2 with kit and remote and handle. Thank u for a great video, thank u Hohem

@@Settoautofocus Firstly, the build quality is amazing, and its alot for the money, compared to more expensive gimbals. It works for phones, standard cameras and action cameras.the ai feature is always impressive. For a guy like me on a budget it was really everything I needed. The handle attachment eased the strain of holding the gimbal for long periods. The cold shoe mount and screw port on the handle is a great help. I just like everything about it.
Just got an OM1 and switched from my trusty Canon 70D I’ve had since first released over a decade ago. This is one of the absolute best Videos I’ve ever seen on RU-vid for camera and lens comparisons. Keep it up! 👍🏻 subscribed. Hopefully I can win some free gear eventually too since I’m broke now from my recent Camera Purchase. The MFT lenses from OM Systems have been amazing so far and just the weight and size advantage will probably have me sticking to the MFT platform and OM systems platform for year to come. A video comparison of the OM1 vs other flagship full frames and APSC cameras would be awesome to see from you.

As for sharpness on the A7RV, I’ve been pretty impressed overall-it handles well, even at higher zoom levels. Have you tried using a teleconverter with any of your setups? I’d be curious to hear how it’s worked out for you!
@@Settoautofocus hey there, thanks for the reply! I got the Lens and the TC in the meantime. The lens by itself is supersharp but cannot match the AF Performance of a native Sony Lens unfortunately. With the 1.4 TC attached i only get mediocre results, very soft and gloomy. No chance to get really decent results. I tried on two different Camera Bodys, Sony A7RV and Panasonic S5II. Did you not experience this?

Hi @Settoautofocus thank you for the reply, I actually bought the handle a few weeks ago. It's pretty decent. To be honest, I am new to all this, so I have no clue what I am doing 😅. I used the MT2 on holiday in Tunisia, and it was great. Now I have the handle to help, And think I am going to have some fun because I plan to have my ZVE10 on the gimbal and use my phone as a 2nd monitor and attach it to the cold shoe on the handle. 😊

When it comes to shooting sports, rolling shutter can definitely be a concern, especially with fast-moving action. This setup does a decent job minimizing it, but it's not entirely immune, especially if there's a lot of quick panning. What type of sports are you looking to shoot? quick question: Can you MF focus the lens to hyperfocal distance ( via the LCD display on the lens) switch the camera off and on and retain the same focal point (without having to refocus) ?

@@Settoautofocus Thank you for your detailed reply. Unfortunately Zeiss forgot to implement a AF/MF switch so the camera has to be set to MF. ( after my initial excitement I just continue using the same MF approach I have been using for the past 40+ years ) Sony lens design has been missing that point altogether and Panasonic is hopeless ( can't remember distances after reboot ). Nice video. If I may point out, a the hot in a hot-shoe mount has the ability to power electricity for a flash for example. A cold-shoe mount, is just a mount without power.

@@Settoautofocus A7RV is fine for anything that isn't sports or wildlife, camera is just too slow, requires refocusing each time the shutter closes, and you can only get 10 FPS if you're using raw.
Been looking for that one zoom that is between the 70-200 and 200-600 that I would carry to an event like an air show, zoom or sporting event. This one seems to be the one. For our Alpha friend, Sony has a 15% stake in Tamron. Surprise, no wonder these lens work so well with Sony cameras. Tamron probably helps Sony in the lens department. We know that Tamron makes lenses for Nikon and even Leica.

To answer your question, the accessory mounts you're referring to are cold shoes, meaning they don't have any electronic connections like hot shoes do. They’re perfect for attaching accessories like microphones, LED lights, or monitors. What kind of setup are you planning to use? I'd love to hear how you're gearing up for your shoots!
Great video, but here are a couple of aspects to keep in mind for future long lens testing with and without teleconverters. Often the degradation in sharpness when using teleconverters has more to do with subject distance than decreased quality of optics. The further the subject, the more atmospheric disturbance/turbulence you are shooting through. Temperature differences between the air temperature and ground surface temperature causes air turbulence causing visual distortion leading to a lack of clarity on the subject. This is often referred to as heat haze but has more to do with differences in temperature between the ground/or water and the air temperature. Fortunately, photographing wildlife early in the morning or evening (around the golden hours) alleviates atmospheric distortion (heat haze) because the air and surface temperature of the ground or water are often a similar temperature. Therefore, if you are field testing subject sharpness on distant wildlife with a super telephoto lens, it is best to do so when there is less heat haze present (early morning/evening). Furthermore, CAF in cameras is not as accurate at long distances, sometimes switching to SAF for long distance shots when using a super telephoto lens can help.

I want to start making content, photos and videos not specifically vloging, should i go for dji with 4k 120fps with not so good photos or Sony with not the best video compared to pocket 3, but may be decent photography. Or do you have any other option in this price range .

If you’re looking to strike a balance between high-quality video and decent photography, the choice can be tricky. The DJI offers that impressive 4K at 120fps, which is great for smooth, cinematic footage, but its photo capabilities might leave you wanting more. On the other hand, Sony cameras generally offer a good mix of photo and video performance. You might want to consider something like the Sony A6400, which provides solid video capabilities and great stills. What kind of content are you planning to create most often? Knowing that might help zero in on the perfect gear for your needs!
@@Settoautofocus I wan to creat more of gym content and vlogs. I thought that Osmo P3 would be good for keeping in corner and it will shoot without being in somebody's way, while with a full flesh camera the whole setup is a bit of a new sense in the gym, the most I have seen in my gym is people using iPhones and one girl uses a go pro, while it doesn't matter what others use, it's just a matter of confidence you have in your work, but what are your thoughts on investing in Osmo which is next to not noticeable in public or a full flesh camera , or maybe a phone, but I just feel that iphone is lil too expensive for me now, of course i can get it on EMi.
