Hey there! 👋 I’m Maurice, and every video I make revolves around one belief: that the most important things for us to pay attention to are the things we do and use every single day.
What I mean is, we’re conditioned to prioritize and focus on life’s “exclamation marks” - the new car, the big vacation, the wedding day, the career change - but the truest way to have the biggest impact on our lives is how we write the sentences between those exclamation points - the regular everyday tools, habits, and actions we use day-in-day-out that enable those exclamation marks in the first place.
Because of this, my videos typically fall into three categories:
Maurice! I love your videos my friend... im wondering what your thoughts are of the Chimera so far? it seems like it is the perfect bag for me but I have a few questions... is the main pocket really slightly bigger than the regular venture? How do you feel about the strap? Overall where does it rank on your list? My main cary is my travelers large size notebook, wallet, phone, 2 small cameras (they both fit in the standard size one) and my AirPods, passport a few other very small items like a battery and memory cards. Is the Chimera the grail? (our load outs are so similar)
Maurice, that was a very nice lesson on how to wash socks etc in a hotel sink. I think we forget to take care with washing and rinsing when travel. Especially in the very very small sinks in a hotel room. Also, I didn’t realize that cotton was such a problem with drying. Wrinkling I knew about but the drying issue is new to me. I think I also need to look into Marino wool. I’ve started using Marino wool socks exclusive but I’d like to find other items as well.
Hey Maurice, enjoyed your video and it was informative , have a question for you, after you stopped using it (assuming you have) or you missed a session , does your hair turn orangey or a light brown? Thanks !!
Please make video about KL (Kuala Lumpur), Malaysia 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾. KL is more advanced than Jakarta. KL is safer than Jakarta. KL is cleaner than Jakarta. Everyone in KL is friendly and can speak English. Every food in KL is delicious and cheap. There is no crime in KL. There are no poor people begging in KL. KL is Asia's New York City. KL is the best city in Asia and one of the best cities in the world. *love from your Malaysian subscriber 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾
I bought one Merino t-shirt from Smartshirt and one Unbound Merino t-shirt. Within 6 months both shirt develop holes around the chest area. I took care of them both and wash them in gentle mood with mild soap, but both shirts self destructed. Won't be buying anymore Merino shirts.
Great video. I'm planning on going soon, so this video will be viewed many times until it's burned into my brain. Question, why do you prefer to leave Japan through the NRT airport?
Hello. Amazing video! Is it better to exchange CAD dollars in your home country at Vancouver Bullion & Currency Exchange or at a 7-Eleven ATM Plus in Tokyo?
Hello. I have been enjoying your videos. You have interesting and very useful content that encourages me to consider my EDC and travel purchases, and how well my gear integrates with every thing I do. When looking at the TomToc and ALPACA tech bags, slings, etc., are they slash proof/resistant, and have RFID shielding to slow down theft and data skimming? Thanks again for the great content!
4 weeks ago. I got 3 Icoca cards at Osaka International Airport (for me and my parents who hadn't landed yet) from the train station next to the airport on level 2. It cost nothing and I preloaded them with 2000yen each.
Great hand washing tutorial plus other options! We pack one week or less worth of clothing no matter how long we're traveling (even for years). We wash our laundry in all different manners: washing machine at Airbnb, washing machine at hotel, laundromat, laundry service. I could hand wash, but I haven't really needed to in years. We also pack almost exclusively Merino wool, which makes air drying so much easier! 🌸Heidi
Almost awesome. I wish someone would make a bag like this but also but a small dedicated camera section on it that can be removed if wanted. Also a place for a tripod. Now it would be the best.
Hi @MauriceMoves, just wanted to ask. Those red cable keeper/manager that I saw on your videos, where did you bought those? Or you made them yourself? Are they paracord or shockcord?
I bought one of these on the basis of this review, mainly for the outside flap, but in practice it’s of very little use. The actual space available makes sense only for documents or slim devices like a phone. Even my laptop doesn’t fit in there when the case is full.
Decided to fly into narita as though the airline I'm flying with did offer a flight into Tokyo via haneda it would arrive 4 hrs after the flight to narita would so it cancels out the train ride time difference between the two with 3hrs to spare so yeah hahaha.
