Welcome to my new channel! Restoring, welding, machining and other fun stuff :) I am a welder/fabricator by trade and I enjoy machining and making! I also paint in my free time :D My true passion is in restoring old machines and tools. I will try to upload at least 2 videos per month as RU-vid is a hobby right now... I hope I can make a career out of this one day. Thank you for checking out my channel and I hope you stay!
Fun little toy. I might get one at some point to play with, and then give it to one of my nephews once they are a bit older. I wonder if you could just fill up the main aluminium frame pieces with some cement/plaster/concrete to give it a bit more weight and stability?
Hello, I sold this toy in a department store in Prague before Christmas in 1991, maybe 92. I was studying at university at the time and had it as a part-time job. Sales were very good. We were sold out a few days before Christmas day. I recently discovered that the kit is still being sold in an almost unchanged form. It contains several accessories and mainly the base plate on which the individual machines are fixed. I hope you have a lot of fun with the toy.
I bought mine a year ago, it was originally advertised as a hobby lathe by Emco, very versatile and tiny, I suppose it could be used for watch making but as a hobby lathe they are great, the older ones are getting quite rare
Merhaba. Çok güzel bir video. Ben taş ve ahşap üzerinde çalışıyorum. Videoda gösterilen aksesuar uç ve kesme takımı hangi markadır. Nereden alabilirim. Yazarsanız sevinirim
Hey my friend! I just got a notification and it says 9 days ago...I dont know but something is wrong with yt for sure this past yare.... How are you? long time didnt hear from you... I hope you and your familie is in good helth! what have you been up to?
@WickedTools Hi there. Yeah yt can be a bit like that. Im good thanks. Just been working and busy on the caravan as well. I have finally got most of what I can do on it done. Lately I have been sorting out my workshop. It was a total mess after doing ton of work in it. I also got a couple of new bits that I need to show on yt. Thanks, my family and I are going well. How about you ? How are you keeping. Cheers Tom 😀
@WickedTools Well I do finally have a workshop project coming up again soon. It will involve this beast ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bYsS7fSw9lk.htmlsi=fNOuHfQem65SRoPG
Thanks for that interesting restoration ; I just purchased my SL and I hope I won’t have to take it all apart ... well not too soon ! 😀 I know Belton made some green hammer laquer at least in spray ... I will ask my mainland retailer about that ... One question for now : 😬 How do you set the correct height of the cutting angle of the tool on such a lathe ?...
When i was 12.. I wanted one, My father told me "No!" better save money for a decent lathe.. I now have 2 EMCO Lathes.. an EMCO Compact5 CNC and an EMCOturn 120.. glad i listened to my father back then.. Oh.. and i also refurbished his EMCO Unimat SL, and i tested it by turning some Titanium i had lying around.. bet you can't turn that on the Unimat 1
Far out. Ok that really is a little welder. The next level tiny. That would be a really handy machine for tricky jobs where you just can not get a normal welder
Hay. Just watching your video now. Somehow i had unsubscribed from you but i never did that unless i mistook you for another youtuber. How are you and hows the health?
The biggest advantage is ofcourse that you are more mobile. This might be a good thing for people who go out 4x4'ing, it doesn't need much space and for bush-fixes it might come in handy ! But is you fix 99% of your stuff in a normal workplace or shed, this doesn't add anything. For the 1% that you do need to fix something outside your normal workplace, you don't need this. Meh.
Hey icebluscorpion! I did star out on a old shitbox of a welder 😄 I would recommend a clasic welder to get started for sure... This is a bitt awkward to hold at first... Thanks for watching!
@@WickedTools thank you for your honest opinion. I personally don't have a welder but my brother has one. I keep practicing I would love to practice with a TIG Welder it's very expensive and I'm saving money for buying one. Do you have a TIG Welder that you can recommend to a beginner? Keep it up you do a great job. Looking forward to your next videos 👍
@@icebluscorpion I think stick and tig is the best way to start in welding. You learn a lot of puddle control that you would not if you start with mig. A nice looking mig weld doesn't mean a strong weld. You can find a decent tig machine for around 600$ im sure but I would recommend a AC/DC machine! It's a little more expensive but you will be glad when you need that AC for aluminium :) I have a WTL Schweisstechnik 200 ac/dc for 700$ and for my home use it's superb! A full demo video of the welder is on my channel. I would not recommend a super cheap tig machine for like 300$...Better to save up and pay once cry once :D But remember that any tig is better than no tig! I hope this helps a little and have fun welding! I'm starting a new DIY BBQ smoker video tommorow so stay tuned! Thank you and have a nice day! WT
