Don't know if this is secret or not, but I didn't know about it was in the Dark Brotherhood quest "With Friends Like These..." during the part when Astrid has you kill one of the 3 captives. Instead you can attack and kill Astrid which will fail the quest but start a new one called "Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!".
OMG, I have a theory. The Master merges with organic matter that stays close to him for a long time, and he has a way of "controlling" the mutants. knowing this, the only other person who had contact with pure FEV like him was Harold, who, like him, merges with another organism, in this case the plant he calls Bob and, like the Master, this eventually left him unable to move. And curiously, he is in the Capital Wasteland. It is possible that he is unconsciously calling the mutants without him even knowing or intending to, and although the mutants feel the call, they do not know exactly where Harold is.
Gissur can also try to ambush you in the ragged flagon, if your a thieves guild member, the other present members will make quick work of him and the thalmore agents within the flagon
I always figured it was Esbern. He's got every reason to stay hidden since the Thalmor are after him, he has an extensive knowledge of dragon locations and has been monitoring the prophecies.
It could still be Delphine or Esbern. The letters aren't just for anonymity from the dragonborn, but also from any thalmor agents or bad people who could intercept the couriers messages.
I have been playing Skyrim for over ten years and literally never talked to Danica outside the temple, so I have always been stuck taking Maurice. 80% of the time I've done the sapling, but it often glitches and the sapling is kind of funny looking.
Do you think the world outside of the Aurbis is our world or an alternate reality? Because in our world the elder scrolls was not generated by any data that preexisted on the disk (Lorkhan) but was encoded by outside forces (devs), and obviously Morrowind AI can't actually become self aware and modify code. I've always felt that the metaphysics of elder scrolls was an allusion to the universe being in a video game but the confusion for me is in whether its an allusion to actual elder scrolls games or some hypothetical ES game in which all of the events that have ever happened in the elder scrolls universe has actually happened in, and which was encoded by a self aware AI in Lorkhan.
Soooooo, funny thing happened when I recruited Maurice. It was a good two years ago but I remember it plainly. So, I recruited him and head on for the Eldergleam Sanctuary. Here's where the funny part comes: me and Maurice were ambushed by a giant and the damn thing just kills him right there! XD I remember laughing like a maniac from his body slingshotting to the sky! I fondly remember "You good bro?" but that was far from the truth XD
One year later and the DLC theory is true. Maybe not what you thought it would be but I'm happy we get some more lore for all of this coming up. I think the Va'ruun symbol is a wormhole (which is how you get to the homeworld in the dlc) and maybe even the Great Serpent itself, or it's home. I think it would be hilarious if the Serpent was Sheogorath, but there's so many things that hint Skyrim and Starfield exist in the same universe.
Because of a thought that ANOTHER already posted before me, confirming she is killable and the letters will keep coming & given Skyrim protects it’s important characters with invincibility- I don’t believe she is it in the least… *But interesting either way.* But some facts are too hard to ignore to consider this possibility myself.
I never decide to help Kematu. I mean, think about it: he wants you to betray someone whom. he wants to punish for betrayal. If it was a dialogue option, I’d have the Dragonborn laugh in his face and then tell him “Next time you see a dictionary, look up the word ‘hypocrite’; there’ll be a picture of you next to it.”
I'm surprised you didn't mention killing Astrid when you wake up in the shack. It immediately starts the hidden quest, "Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!". I accidentally found that the very first time I played. Regarding Cidhna Mine, it is MUCH easier if you do this after becoming a werewolf through the Companions questline. A werewolf is never truly unarmed. At least they finally fixed it so you can open doors while in wolf form without having to mod it.
I didn’t even know that the Forgemaster’s Fingers was the oddity. During my early days, I just explored rather than do quests in the cities. I found the Orc camp first and just assumed that it was normal
Nope, nope, and nope. That is no way possible. Delphine is an Imperial and FLED to Skyrim after the Blades were outlawed and hunted down by the Thalmor. She wasn't in the army, she was a BLADE. She only talks to Farengar and never to Balgruuf. If she'd been married to Balgruff, the kids would acknowledge her, as would Balgruuf.
Actually, Sibbi and Ingund are Hemming's children. They just call Maven mother for some reason. Because, unless Hemming is her husband and her son... they aren't hers. She says so. Also, Konahrik's mask was last worn when Velok the Jailor (who does not have a mask) on Solstheim, when he fought against Miraak back around the time of the Dragon War. The battle was so intense, it broke Solstheim right off of Skyrim, creating that very island. It has nothing to with Shalidor at all. Neither does Labrynthian, really. It's his maze in the city of Bromjunaar, that's associated with him. It's known now as Labrynthian now, but it was named that because of the labrynth he created to test new Archmages. It was once likely the capitol of the Dragon Cult during the merethic area. That little mound the masks can be stashed in are no less than hundreds, potentially even thousands of years older than Shalidor. No one knows exactly how long the dragon cults ruled in Skyrim, or before when they still all lived in Atmora.
I love this game. No one will understand how much I enjoy it, except other players. Ever since I got my hands on this thing as a young 14 year old... I have gone back to it sooo many times. The npc lines or tragic lags make me laugh out loud (lol). It can make my day. The music is so beautiful and calming. Sometimes, I even play it in my car. I love I can choose any path to go down and become a warrior. I love the entire lore of Dragonborn and this game will absolutely always be in my heart. I wish we could leave Skyrim and go beyond to a different nation:(, besides that Miraak quest. There is no other game like it. No game can replace. Also, I will never kill my boy Paarthurnax EVER again.
I just do the forge masters finger quest get the gauntlets but dont turn in the quest earn the trust of another orc then im free to roam the strongholds and keep the fingers
I have a very important information to support this theory. In my main play through I never got the "letter from a friend", reason for that i believe to be that I by mistake killed karita while climbing the stairs to reach Blackbeards for the first time. Till now before watching this video i believed that she was not important at all.
During “The Cornered Rat” if you follow Gissur into the ratway you’ll hear him tell the Thalmor that he saw you in the Flaggon asking around. Then if you go back to the Flaggon undetected and hide you’ll see the thalmor walk in and ask around. The Guild will tell him to fuck off and if you appear, they’ll all kill the Thalmor(If you’re part of the guild). You’re welcome 😉
If you finished the Thieves Guild Questline and became the Guild master and then join the Dark Brotherhood, Delvin will have a different dialogue when Astrid ask you to show him the Elder Council Amulet. He'll say that you're making friends all over. If you side with stormcloaks and your attacking solitude and then try the Dark Brotherhood quest where you need to assassinate the emperor's cousin astrid will be furious telling you to clean up the mess that you made or something like that before continuing to the Questline i love this small dialogues that make npcs aware that your also from a different faction or guild. Oh, another db secret dialogue arnbjorn will have a different dialogue if your a werewolf and assume your a member of the companions .
When Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, every mystery solver in the Elder scrolls community will completely deconstruct the game, even underrated its very core program
Funny, for me the golden claw mission was in reverse. I always enter the riverwood trader every time I go through the city and hear their argument. Finding out you can learn about the golden claw BEFORE going to the riverwood trader was news to me!
I think it really is far fetched to suspect anyone other than Delphine. The fact that Bethesda didn’t program it properly regarding the game timeline, and that they forgot to add a grand reveal is hardly a surprise or intentional, there are plenty more such oversights in the game. Likewise, the slight inconsistency use in signature isn’t really a surprise, it happens in various quests in the game. I would quote as compelling evidence: 1) the Winterhold college basement quest which was never finished for example; 2) the immense amour of bugs and all around issues in the game, think the butcher quest bugs and soft locks, or the immense amount of bugs due to the many quests triggering upon first visiting Markarth. The game remains nonetheless an amazing piece of art. I just think it’s fair to say, seeing Bethesda’s track record, that it’s just a funny Easter egg, that if you actually read the letter, you might realize it comes from Delphine and go “that’s nifty” before moving on to something else. No need to blow things our of proportions here.
Honestly when I thought about who the "mysterious friend" was I did at one point think of Harmaeus Mora, but one thing stopped me and that was that usually the daedric princes are in for themselves, for whatever reason wether it be being part of the ebonmere, or being a slaughtered for Molag.
I was going to say this is a great theory until you equated Karitah to Kyne or Kinereth. I've looked into this before and the main internet theory at the time was Talos himself. Now, I suppose a God with a physical body could write a letter. But saying that it's a God I whatever pantheon. Anyone of the gods is a stretch. Can I receive a personal letter from Jesus Christ telling me how to increase my power? Well in some religions I can. But what if it's the mother Mary instead? Or her Islamic avatar Mirriam? My personal theory is it's one of the whiteout guards who says you're dragonborn after killing the first dragon in the watchtower. He knows a lot of people. He's got adoring fans following you around. With invisibility cloaks. Or maybe he's the adoring fan.
Dont use the jarrin root to kill the emperor. Kill him with a weapon on the dinner table. Keep it. With ectoplasm you can make a potion thats the most poisonous potion in the game. Lets just say I killed Alduin in few stabs with it 😂
