Cool run video. So, just curious, are these Hotrods ideal for some side by side drag racing run fun? And, if so, what's their approximate top speed out of the box? Also, what all hop up's did you add to it? Have a link for the motor sound add-on? Did you do any spur gear revisions? Thank you for your time. Stay safe!
they can be roeal fun and definitely used as drag racers. 2s stck speed was roughly low 30's.graded will be 50+ mph on the 3s setup and faster 75mph+ with spur gear upgrades
@@maximumthrottlerc5939Castle 5700KV 3s motor. Castle SW4 ESC. I’m running Gence Ace 3s 4000mah 65c lipo, is the largest battery it can fit on 3s. Tamiya 93T Spur Gear ⚙️ an 36T pinion, my gear ratio is 2:5 to 1 revolutions
@@maximumthrottlerc5939because this is a Crazy setup on this car. To get to these speed territory, really gotta gradually ease in the power to top speed. Under right conditions wide open space and proper throttle management it top speed is 100+. But I have yet to master the skills to reach those numbers before catching air underneath chassis or spinning out and blowing tires
If you do run this setup I will suggest getting a second body for the car because believe me or not it will backflip at the slightest uneven surface or change in win direction at those speeds
2300kv * 14.80v = 34040 rpm's... that stock outrunner motor know how max rpm can make? Max i did on my older Recoil was 89kmh. On this new v2 max i did was 99kmh. But neither had stock eletrics! And was runing a doctor prop's on the first model...need to try on the 99kmh...but afraid to burn the esc's...ok just a couple of passes and see! :) thanks for the video!
Nice! You dont see many of us around. I have many Tamiya F1s. Take it to the tennis courts and use joggers orange cones to make a course. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sl6s2YmLI9Q.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-idwU0e46tUo.html
@@eduardonessim4499 it does self-righting with no issues. Temps were 110/115°F. Pretty sure you can find that information on the Horizon Hobby website.
Thanks JP!!! I'm getting better at doing the inlays. It's definitely an art so-to-speak. The more you do the better you get. It's the one part in the whole process where you definitely do not want any outside distractions while you're working with it. Especially if you're using a fast drying mixture which I honestly do not recommend using. I prefer the long set because it gives you time to work with it, get all the bubbles out, and fix any uneven areas that you may visually notice during the sponging process.
@@maximumthrottlerc5939 Yes,their looks in fact amazing! However I appreciate cats, mono dragsters flat vees and hydroplanes as well ,but these time I was looking for a boat which is well drivable in rough water conditions since we had had a lot of wind these year and the other boats of my fleet aren’t good at rough water, lol
Thanks!!! Doing my best to juggle the channel and caring for my wife. She was recently diagnosed with advanced stages of incurable cancer and is at home in my care until further notice. I definitely appreciate the kind comments and assure you that there will be more videos coming. I'm actually in the middle of two projects but will be posting very soon.
Not sure what size the prop was but if you message Alex @ Doctor Props he can make one for you. It's a custom made prop and he does not stamp numbers on any of his props. This one was a test model that he sent to me as a gift. I'm the USA distributor for Doctor Props USA and a good friend of his. Just tell him that Andrew sent you.
I changed my oil to gas mix ratio to 16:1 mix, tuned the carb, and added the 6717- 3 blade prop made by Alex @ Doctor Props - Ukraine and only use high grade non-ethenol petroleum
Lol .. Next weekend I actually planned to get Perry to dive into his setup and show everyone what it looks like. Can't always cover everything in one video... Especially when you also have boats sitting out. Makes for great follow up content 😉
@@maximumthrottlerc5939 I am just finishing my own hellcat build, it was a 2 stroke and has been converted to a single 12s setup and a full respray. Look forward to your next video
They can be, but at the same time I also pay as close attention to my boat's direction of travel when operating them, so I am not too worried about the rocks or the concrete walls lol
Thanks for the WOW my friend!!! This adds an entirely new perspective to running your boat doesn't it? Waiting for the GoPro 10 to arrive for better stabilization of the video during high speed runs so stay tuned!
