Be careful of shortbreak be careful of the rip currents not under tow or Riptide cuz those are wrong words that don't exist rip currents kill people by the hundreds and hundreds every year around the world amongst other water hazards like shorebreak and whatnot here's a video explaining it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RJ4hcaJ91TY.html
When u don’t see other people in or near the water u might wanna think twice before going in! People can and do on a regular basis get sucked out never to be seen alive again! Now that will ruin ur vacation!
It aint funny i saved a kid in a rip tide when i was 15 his parents froze i dived in got the kid put my arm round told him let tide carry us down beach it did then it ran out of steam 700 yds down beach we.walked out of sea big crowd cheering his mum in tears we were both lucky but i was a strong swimmer.i was glad i could help
@@chrisemerson7743 I mean, you don't say. She just stood there recording. Maybe mothers are right about phones being the root of everything bad about our generation
Hi Debashree. Chris is right. The person recording was a friend of ours, and she was not aware of the danger we were exposed to. I got a big cut near my eyebrow because I hit my friend's knee. By the time we reached out to her side, I had blood all over my face so she was not laughing anymore! 🥲
I witnessed Honolulu Fire Fighters and Local Lifeguards recover many bodies at Makapuu and Sandy Beach over the years. Tourists and inexperienced surfers underestimate the power of the ocean.
I was a lifeguard many years ago in San Diego and the guys at the Naval Training Center on Rosecrans would graduate from their schools, go to the beach, rent a surfboard even though they had never been in the ocean and proceed to need to be rescued.
Almost drowned in Cabo on my honeymoon years ago. Those waves and undertow are no joke. Neither were the skull and cross bone signs with “Peligro “ that I ignored. Derrrr
Sorry to hear you're almost drowned glad you were safe yeah the ocean is no joke and just for added information, the word undertow and Riptide are wrong words and don't exist it's called rip current. In this case with short break as a sediment and water recedes back out another wave breaks on the shore which covers you up and you're already underneath it and pulls you out and you get tossed around.......... the word undertows incorrect because you don't get pulled under the water you just get pulled out and the word Riptide is incorrect because it's has nothing to do with the title effect so whether it's high tide or low tide the occurrence still happens so it's rip current like ripping a section of the open ocean water receding back out finding the spot and flowing back out so it's ripping out I've done water rescue before and I remember doing rescues on people and they would say Hello thank you I was getting pulled under and you save me and then back on shore doing reports I would explain that you weren't getting pulled under just out
And they would look at me crazy being like what do you mean I wasn't getting pulled under yes I was I'm like when I came up to you did you see me get pulled on there they're like oh no I said exactly and then broke down why so basically it's a current that flows back out to the Ocean and here's a cool video that shows itru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RJ4hcaJ91TY.html
Stupid people to tempt the ocean at that spot or even the east side! They could be gone in a split second. Even I was smart enough to stay out of the break there. Good wishes to future tourists.
